And you get to flying old 145 aircraft. They also throw in low time lines with 11 days off and 4-5 legs per day for free.

How can you say there are no forced displacements? The bid shows FIFTY displacements to seats, aircraft and bases people did not want.

Base?
Dfw guys don't get the travel day. So if you are a dfw guy then look for a 4/2 and have the last day of a trip on day one and the first day on the next trip on the last day of training.

Exactly. If I had to do it again I would chose my airline for equipment only

No reserve lines. If you get checked out before you can bid on a line for the next month, they give you a build up line with some reserve days and some scheduled trips. But as soon as you bid, you are a line holder.

We don't have reserve at Piedmont, which is good on so many levels. None of that sitting at home/in a hotel waiting for the call BS. Obviously the airline needs reserves for sick calls etc etc. They offer us 3x premium to sit reserve on off days. 16 hours of pay regardless of getting called or not. They did the math and figured it's cheaper to pay us large sums of money than to train an additional 30 pilots to cover our open flying

Is CA bid award or displacement - until school house training still taking 3 - 4 months? Will this decrease?

From CA award to completion of CA training and being able to wear 4 bars takes approx 6 months, am I right? Thus the notion of "Upgrade" (getting paid 4 bars) is therefore approx in reality 6-7 months... Am I right?

5 months and dropping. 4 months if you don't need a fed ride.

Pilots from the May upgrade finished IOE in middle of September and Fed ride in early/mid October.
