3U/base/seat/aircraft/D to see how many total in a status, assume you'll be at the end of the list, then count the number of lines.

There's a lot of misinformation regarding the CPO coming after everyone for sick calls. The guys that are getting brought into the office for sick calls either have a ton of them, or have a combination of issues. The whole automatic step 1 letter for the 3rd or 4th sick call rumor is false. Yes you might get a letter after your 4th sick call, but there are gonna be other factors in play as well. I can tell you from personal experience and hearing from other guys that you can have 4 sick calls in 12 months and not hear a peep from the CPO.
The reason this is an issue is because 1) sick time is a contractually negotiated benefit and part of our compensation package (i.e. it had a dollar amount associated with it when negotiated), 2) it is both against the terms of our FAA medical and unsafe to fly while sick, and 3) the new "policy" is being applied unevenly and as far as I know STILL not codified anywhere for normal employees to read and understand.
So despite the fact that I had doctor's notes for my sick calls, zero missed assignments in 10 years until crew scheduling decided to get creative with contract language (and about which I had ALREADY discussed with the CP when they occurred) he was still being required to call me in for a step 1 advisory.
It isn't necessarily the number of calls, it's the ridiculous implementation of a punitive blanket policy that negates common sense and reason.

My thoughts exactly. Thank you Trinity.
Also to add to your bullet points:
4) When you fly sick you are committing fraud because you just signed a release stating you were fit for duty.
The way I see it, this is an easy way out for the company if you happen to pass an illness to someone else that results in a death or to protect from being liable. They can pull up the release and say, "See? They said fit for duty! Not our fault!"
This seems wrong in so many directions. But that's my perspective on this.

While on this topic another thing to consider is medication. There have been times where I was sick, but felt like I could probably fly, but I was taking a prescription med that had a 48 hour trial before I could sit in a cockpit again. The problem is company wants the pilots to be responsible for sick calls like any other average person. Your sick, you miss work, you get marked. Simple.
But we all know it's not so simple. It's another example of how this corporation views us. We are never an asset. Always a liability. "You miss work, we have to pay you. We don't like that." Hence the idea of using FMLA for sick. If you use FMLA for a sinus infection, you will not get a dime! Exactly what Trinitydawn says, our sick time is contractually negotiated benefit for us to use. Now the company is saying we can't use it. If you do, you get reprimanded.

You know what else is wrong? Scheduling giving pilots missed assignments for not accepting a duty day extension. They can kiss my grits. The FAA established a max duty day for pilots..and 2 hours beyond that is voluntary only. But nooooo...lets slap an MA on a pilot and dock his pay 3.5 hours for the day if he doesn't take the extension.
Anybody have the number to the FAA anonymous tip line? I'm going to name drop the hell out of RW and RN for passing down this directive.
P.S. It's my day off, and I woke up on the floor of some random girl's bathroom, wondering where the hell I was and covered in glitter. What I'm trying to say is that I'm a bit overly sensitive just this second.

What? When did they start doing this? Last I heard they would just expect you to say you're fatigued for not accepting an extension, which is logical. That can not be legal at all. WTH is going on here?!?!?

I've called in sick in the past year. Haven't heard a peep from the company. If you abuse it, expect to be reprimanded. If you are legit sick, I would not worry about it. Haven't heard anyone complain about it on the line either.

Just tell CS to PG code it and then email the CPO. That's the trump card on everything. PG it.

Oh yeah? I haven't abused it. Been legitimately sick. I've been formally reprimanded. Had doctor's notes for every one of them brought to the CPO. It's happening, whether it hasn't happened to you or has.
Side note: I still have these notes still at home. Told CPO, they just shrug their shoulders and say, "eh, I'm just the messenger" and just sit on their hands. That doesn't help me and make me feel any better about my role in this company. Clearly they are not keeping records of doc notes and clearly they don't care. If they did, I would have heard, "well, bring these notes in and let's see if we can fix this". Not a peep.
