Also, I don't think that OAL (other airlines) travel is active until after 6 months.

The website jumpseatinfo.org has specific instructions for how to list for the different carriers. You should be able to jumpseat as soon as you are in CASS, which I've heard is a week or two for new hires.

The myIDtravel site is for zed fares. Zed's are standby tickets you buy on other airlines. Your spouse and dependents can buy zed fares as well. You can't start using zed fares until 6 months on property.

Does anyone have numbers and breakdown of the new hire class today? Also, are they running new hire classes 3 times a month now?

In theory. Some say PSA isn't having a problem staffing them and others say the planes are spending weeks on the cement in DAY after we ship them out. It'll be a slow and painful death, but they'll likely keep hiring here and there in order to keep it flying while FOs upgrade off of it and CAs transition off.

I guess it's all about timing. I'm a nov21-2016 new hire class on the 145, finished IOE in march and have 400 hours with the company. It looks like a difference of mere weeks in new hire class back on nov/dec meant the difference of getting a line right away, and sitting in reserve a few months.

Someone finishing IOE this month will probably be in a similar situation while staffing thins out again while Miami opens up in sep.
