A hundred people have had this happen before, and it's always BS. Remind them that in the grievance we lost that allowed pre-assigned RAPs, the arbitrator specifically said they can only pre-assign RAPs if seniority is honored. I heard a rumor that for a while the company refused to sign the grievance that they actually won, because the arbitrator included that obvious language about seniority being honored. But a bad faith refusal to sign a grievance they won does not negate our contract language: they don't have to honor preferences if staffing doesn't allow it, but they have to honor seniority when staffing is equal. If you both came off the same days off and are good for at least 4 days of reserve (so you are both legal for 4 day trips, the longest in open time), then seniority has to be honored. I would refuse to get off the phone until they fixed it.

Update: called CS again and was on hold for a while. When they answered I talked to the same person. They just said "it's been changed, you're confirmed RAP2." And that was it, no explanation. I said thank you and have a good evening. Wasn't trying to rock the boat or complain. I was just confused as to why I got what I got. Anyhow, got an extra night in my own bed instead of commuting!

Anyone have any info on how the lines will start looking in Miami and Dallas at the beginning of the year?

The captain I flew with this morning mentioned DFW 145 was getting a decent increase in the number of lines in January. He mentioned specific numbers (don’t know where he got them from) but I didin’t make note of them.
