The answer used to be yes, but is currently no, until you are quite senior. Junior lines still have some 4 on/2 off and uncommutable, leaving roughly one day off in between, but if you complain you are a negative whiner.

New information came down the pike yesterday.

Expect 3 to 4 vacancy bids near 100 upgrades each in 2017 alone.
Potential increase in the flow from already high numbers.
Great potential of 20 additional 175's added to the fleet from another carrier this year.
Not one but 2 new bases in 2017.

2017 shaping up to be a banner year at Envoy. If you don't have your app in, now is the time.

These "increased flow" rumors are akin to the "one list" rumors from back in the day. I VERY VERY HIGHLY doubt we will ever see any flow numbers greater then what is required by metering. No matter how many new-hires we get, we will always be short staffed because we will just keep on taking on more flying then we can handle.

You can be negative if you want. Just don't bring the rest of us down. EL might be a great outlet for you.

Lots of "potential".

I'd need one of those giant shipping container boats to haul around all the "potential" this place has thrown out there over the past few years.

Hope it turns into something ACTUAL like NY reopening.

Guessing the vacancies will be true. More flow, not in a million years. This place didn't flow more when we were over staffed, let alone JM'ing like mad.

2 new bases? Are they going to close one too?

Getting the Compass planes may happen but it could be another negotiating ploy to get them to agree to cheaper rates. Happened with RP and then the MIA base was DOA.

Again, hope it all comes true but just sharing my thoughts on a few problems with the used car being sold on here.

Apparently if you use common sense you are being a negative Nancy. How could you bring everyone down?

LA opening up.... maybe if the rumors are true that we are getting back the 175s from compass.

MIA opening up..... I'll never believe it until it actually happens. I still won't believe after they announce and put the bid out. Weeks before Mia even closed we had rumors that it wouldn't actually close and the vac/dish would be canceled. I hope it opens but nothing happens until it happens.

That's all great, but if Qol stays the same then nobody cares. Why do you pretend Qol here is good? It's in the toilet.

[QUOTE=Pedro4President;2274935]maybe if the rumors are true that we are getting back the 175s from compass.

QUOTE]

It doesn't work like that. Compass planes are on contract until 2020 and with a 4 year extension for good performance. So 2020 at the earliest.
