It would probablt be a cut-n-paste of the Skywest program, already approved. Kinda like when Mesa was having trouble getting theirs approved until big U slide them someone else's program and said use that.

The certification process of a new type is a lengthy and expensive process, much more than simply paperwork. FSI sells the paperwork and that is only the beginning, or Xjet can copy SKW’s paperwork and program. I suspect Xjet management needs the TA approved so they commit to the numbers over the length of the CPA with United. April 2019 is 6 months away. Wow!

I was under the impression that the SKYW program WAS the XJT program.....and went over there once it was finished. Most likely using XJT’s cozy relationship with Embraer, but never intending to let XJT have the planes. (At Keats that’s what I was told years ago)

It was ASA that had started putting it together just prior to the ASA/XE deal. Skywest took what had already been done and added to it.

BS told my AQP class years ago that most of the work for a new type was done. All that was needed was to know the type.
