"lucky line holders" only get a schedule after every polit senior to them has been awarded their schedule first. If a guy has 28 hours of pre assigned credits From vacation, and two four day trips were not bid on or assigned to a more senior pilot then they can hit the 65 hour credit completion window. These are not trips taken from a more senior pilot.

Yeah, I understand that! What I'm saying is that the most senior guy on reserve could be built a relief/composite/whatever you want to call it line, and have the privileges and flexibility of a line holder. I used to love relief lines back in the day. Now, if you have the right amount of pre-assigned credit and you put the right availability on your bid sheet then *poof* instant line holder, regardless of seniority. Am I off my rocker by thinking that isn't right? Please, someone correct me here if I'm wrong.

There is an option for "all Remaining Pairings" which will just dump trips on you if it can build a schedule. That would be you relief line. If you leave restrictions that kick out a few trips they are free game for the junior guy. Nothing is taken from you that you didn't already give up.

I'm not irritated whatsoever. Like I said, I've very much benefited from getting a "lucky line". I just never understood the fairness of it. There's a guy in my domicile 1 number senior to me this month that has a line because he volunteered for some ALPA stuff. Otherwise he would be deep on the reserve list. Is that fair? I'd like to ask the guy that was 1 number from actually holding a line.

Great news! Have they told you where they are shipping you guys too? I'm sure it won't be until the 11th after the final awards are posted. Good luck in ground school bro! Look forward to meeting all of you out on the line.
