CT 20 days ago: Currently we don’t plan to have another CRJ position notice. We have enough folks in class, and our staffing should be right for that.

Things change around here in a heartbeat. This is one one volatile period for the ages in the regional industry.

I am guessing attrition. If you project a loss of 15 people on average a month from March to June, we're going to start having a shortage in July. That doesn't even account for any unexpected block hour increases (maybe the addition of 4 CRJ9s?).

"currently we have no plans to add the crj900 to our fleet" - SH one day prior to announcing 900s to the fleet 4 years ago

HAHAHA epic SH response. SH is one of the biggest management pawns I have ever seen. I honestly feel bad for the man. He was the management scapegoat for BH and CT for years. My guess is that when he sent out that letter a couple of summers ago, BH had set his parameters to fund the pilot group so tight that there was no recourse. In the end they demoted his ass and thanked him for taking the whip for them. All the while the senior end of our pilot group have this weird respect for BH and think he saved the company.

SH, BH, CT, I'm sure they read these posts. In part' I think it's why they treat us like we are morons. That said the lists of SH quotes is beyond compare. Does anyone remember SH's paper costs? hahaha

there hasn't been anything on a position notice but at the same time I think they have gotten used to no one leaving for so long that they don't know how to react to even just a couple of people punching out. We are on the edge of losing large amounts of pilots. I think they were expecting to lose some captains but the unexpected thing is the senior FO's leaving. The problem with giving all of your 5000+ hour FO's ATPs is that they may stand a chance of getting hired some places without pic time. My guess is that by the end of this year the ASA side alone will be losing over 30 a month. On top of that the rest rule requirements will destroy xjet/asa. They simply will not be able to run the place with the staff they have now in the summer of 2014 not withstanding massive shrinkage.
Anyways carry on...

2013 YTD resignations:

ERJ CA:15
ERJ FO: 3

CRJ CA: 13
CRJ FO: 5

* As of 02/18 on Xjet.com. 1/5 split isnt close to a 50/50. A bigger problem with that number for ASA and their chronically reactive manpower staffing is the 13 captains that have left in the first 6 weeks of 2013 is only 5 people less than the entire left seat attrition of 2012 at ASA
