wow 10 upgrades... huge... that should make up for the 12 pilots they lost in attrition for the month of January... I just don't get it sometimes... the effective date for these upgrades is 3 months from now......
Why in the world would they put out a pos notice the day before for ten upgrades and then announce more flying the next day only to do another position notice shortly there after? That rumor can't have any validity to it.

From the latest Union Update:
Losing 10 Captains was an unforeseen circumstance? Something is up...
POSITION NOTICE 13-01
The Company has approached the ASA MEC and requested a waiver from Section 24.F.4.d. of our Contract. Specifically, the company is asking to post a position notice with a 5-day bidding window instead of the normal 10 day window, due to unforeseen circumstances. In this case, the MEC agrees that the pilot group and the Company would benefit from a reduced window. Therefore, the MEC has granted the waiver.
Position notice 13-01 is posted today, Thursday, February 28, and will close Tuesday, March 5, at 2359 EST. The Company has indicated that aircraft position freezes will not be waived. Please bid accordingly.
