Same type of arguements that came out when airlines started transitioning to two man cockpits. Airlines are a business, not a job core. As long as a fair amount of savings is transferred to pilot compensation Dual Qual should be embraced by the pilot group just like PBS was.

You actually believe that's going to happen? Even so, do you think that's going to somehow benefit you? Why don't you look at what happened to mainline pilot groups that embraced 'fair amount of saving' from out sourcing and change of work rules for worse for a few dollars an hour pay raise?

Don't worry, Delta will give us all 'preferential interviews' and it will pass with 90%.

I hope everyone knows it isn't preferential if EVERYBODY is getting it.

Wow we need the SLI done. I got hired on the CRJ side just after the merger announcement.
You bring up a very good point that no one has ever mentioned. Everyone has always said that SLI will not make a difference to those hired after purchase announcement. But the fact is that those on the ERJ side hired after the announcement may not want a bunch of people slotted ahead of them on ISL. But hey, XJT was gonna shy down and go completely out of business.

I can't quote where it exactly says this, but I was told that both ASA and XJT MEC agreed to have everyone who were hired after the merger announcement to be integrated by DOH. Honestly, if you're hired after the announcement, you knew that was a good possibility. In my opinion, it makes sense. Seniority should be back to straight date of hire again starting some point on the merger timeline, no?
