Most guys don't look at these boards, and these guys could really help or hurt relations between the companies.
OMG I CANT STOP LAUGHING!!!

So you're saying if we start being nice to you guys and stop making wisecracks about Moroni and Mainline, you'll let us on your list with our current seniority? That's AWESOME!!!

I'm saying if you start acting like adults and being professional you might help your case but the degrading of half of your company is childish, but you're obviously to junivile to see that.

The other half of our company? Pshhh. Most Skywest pilots walk around with their noses to the ceiling. I once tried to start a conversation with a SKW guy that was standing next to me waiting on a commute... his response was "oh you work for XJT"... he wouldnt even speak to me after that. Even my friends who work there have this "holier than thou" attitude. Get over yourselves.

Then SKW bought XJT, claiming its "synergistic economies of scale" would save ASA. In reality, they wanted to corner the market on regional flying for The New United. They tossed a hail mary for an incomplete pass. Now they will shut this place down, and they will rehire everyone at SkyWest Mainline. I give this process 2-5 years.
Yeah that whole post of mine was kind of a mess. I just didnt understand the reason for buying L-XJT and merging it with ASA only to possibly get rid of the whole shebang. I hope noone gets rehired at mainline... I for one will not go. Im not gonna start over at year one pay at a regional; hopefully 2-5 years is enough to head to major.

Other half of my company? One half of MY company is ASA, the other half is ExpressJet. You work for SkyWest Airlines, a non union carrier which is being whipsawed against my company in order to undermine my union contract. Pilots who go to work for a non union company which exists solely to whipsaw a union company owned by the same holding company are only one short step from being a "crusty dried wound" in my opinion.

But sorry for being so juvenile when it comes to my pay and quality of life. Thanks for the lecture oh wise one.

Time out Cpt Tony....The SkyWest pilots aren't to blame for this mess we find ourselves in. The 3 main reasons are:

1. Failure by ALPA to implement brand scope over a decade ago when they had the opportunity...That ship has sailed and we now must deal with the consequences of ALPA's failure.

2. The Pinnacle/Endeavor contract....Not the SkyWest pay and workrules, but an ALPA negotiated and signed contract is putting the new pressure on our contract.

3. Our "brothers" over on the LXJT side with their silly PBS game they have been playing which dragged this out so that the concessions given by Eagle and Pinnacle now factor into "pattern bargaining".....Brilliant move by the LXJT children.

Blaming the SkyWest folks for a mess that is largely ALPA's doing is silly...Your starting to sound like Nevets.....

[By the way, management has told our negotiators our main competitor is SkyWest Airlines. They have not asked us to match Pinnacle or GoJets (yet)]

4. Pilots like Joe Merchant who brag on public forums that they can't wait to vote in concessions or do whatever it takes to save the company.

You avoided the 3 reasons I stated because you know they are correct. I'll just leave you with your own words from the USair/American merger thread....

So maybe you shouldn't be so cavalier about talking of eliminating "inefficient regionals". Unless it's really all about you and your profits (like an arrogant skygod).
