I recently interviewed with XJT. They asked me multiple times which aircraft I wanted. They asked at the end of the interview, and when they called with the offer. You should be able to choose which plane you want.

Since I was working and didn't make the meeting, can someone tell me which FO rep got voted out and which one stayed in? Initials would be great.

Picking equipment is pretty easy. Getting base of choice is a bit of a different story. Class behind me got mostly CR7 ATL. Class ahead of me mostly IAD. My class got sent everywhere but DFW. Seems to be random at best but for the most part top half of every class is being sent to where they want to go.

Three months ago they told a group of guys the same thing. They gave them travel info and hotels in IAH for indoc. They were told they would be able to choose which airplane they wanted after indoc. They all get down there after quitting their jobs and then they are told sorry you are all ERJ. Airlines will lie to get you through the door and our current bunch of management in ATL is too incompetent to treat you with any amount of respect.

Huh. Maybe they changed their process to not loose new hires. When I was contacted for scheduling a class date I told them I wanted the ERJ and they gave me a date for an ERJ class. "...We have assigned you to the ExpressJet ERJ new hire class..." This is quoted from their email confirming my class date. I was not told I would be assigned an aircraft after indoc. Who knows though...

Not everything on the net is true. He flies an e190, not for xjt obviously, screen name isn't helping shed a positive light either.
I wouldnt trust management any further than I could throw them, but I also don't believe everything written by anybody with access to a keyboard.

I think I brought home about $1600-$1700 a month. Expect to have 11 days off a month so you'll be pleasantly surprised if you get one or two more.
