Maybe he wants to live in base and doesn't want to contribute to the cause of race to the bottom? I wouldn't call it dying, just downsizing to profitability and positioning for growth.

To answer your question: it varies. Anywhere from thousands to R-ATP minimums or lower. Come in with a good attitude and hard work to training, there should be minimal issues. Unlike some carriers, we are not "out to get you."

Air101 is correct though. You will be at the bottom for a while, and you will sit reserve for maybe 1-2 years? Pay your dues, one way or another. I think the recruiters do a good job being transparent in how it will be. Unlike, selling unicorns and pixie dust to get you to come.

That's a good point about TSA's contract trending towards above average when three others took concessions. But to answer your question, I believed that the TSA contract was below average. But I was "schooled" (all uncorroborated since to this they no one has agree to post their contract but I give them the benefit of the doubt) in a few TSA contract points. So now I believe that they are average. The contract points that I originally thought were below average were MMG for reserves which I thought was 74, DH pay which I thought was 75%, along with the other things that are below average such as sick accrual and not being able to use it for the first year, the percentage of insurance premiums they pay, vacation pay, and then there were information that wasn't available such as min day pay, commuter policy, and uniform allowance. So on balance the TSA contract is average. I've shown this in many ways by posting comparisons of all contracts, total compensation charts, and a head to head comparison with a contract that is above average with TSA's to show that the above average contract has better matching and contributing funds, better sick accrual, better vacation pay, lower insurance cost sharing, an OJI bank, better LTD benefits, better reserve rules, etc. And that's not even comparing it to the better contracts of AWAC or maybe even horizon.

I'm about tired of this PBS drama. Since the MEC's can't solve this, go do some shows with both systems, side by side, at each base. Let us decide already!

Name one thread where people can even tolerate you? They don't even like you in your own company thread. I am gonna go out on a limb and say a lot of pilots call in sick for your trips.

I talked with one of my reps today. It was an interesting conversation. He is ASA, as am I. I felt that the tone of the conversation was not that of anger towards one group or the other, but more of anger towards where this whole thing has gone. I expressed my want for us to move forward regardless of it is two different bidding systems or just one (even if it is the XJT's side). I expressed how I felt that the situation as a whole has gone beyond what I would consider normal or professional.

We need to start acting the part of professional aviators, this has become ridiculous. I urge the pilots of both sides to push their respective mecs toward compromise. We are wasting precious time and negotiating capital infighting over stupidity. At the end of the day it is still a regional, we have to do what we can to get small gains and make the future better for those who come behind us. Let's stop this ridiculousness and move on.

I don't think any of you care, but this will be my last post. I'm deleting my account. I don't think anything represented in the regional threads is positive for my life or for my airline. I wish you all the best in your careers. Tailwinds. ~flyingkangaroo
