You also forgot their their much higher BLG's. That is a much bigger factor/issue.

Very true. However BLGs are tied to how many pilots in category and the amount of flying. So the 777 could experience low BLGs but I don’t think that is likely.

Now we can see why pay rates are just a part of the pay equation. Yet many are slobbering over a pay rate when the work rules we have are worth much more. This is why our 777 pilots make MUCH more than a 777, or equivalent pilot, at DAL/UA/AA. Throw in retirement, vacation, pay per day, block override, Int Override, line bidding and its pay benefits/Quality of Life Benefits and it’s a different universe. I have seen the other side prior to FedEx.

Typo - Pay per duty period. Our trip rig (TAFB) and duty rig takes care of the days we sit in hotels with no duty on numerous day layovers. How many of those trips exist at the pax airlines?

The remainder of the items I pointed out remain pertinent and we win in those categories.

If you and others want to focus on just a pay rate and forget everything else, lets go to parity with the rest of the industry on all other items I listed.

As soon as Delta, United, and American start doing night hub turns and 3 day hotel lock downs. A deal's a deal, right?

Do we have some good things in our contract? Sure! But boy do we have some crappy stuff (Reserves, SUB, night flying, hotel isolation, etc) to go along with it. Without those things that are better this place would be a true bottom feeder, even if the rates exceeded the Legacy rates by a large margin.

If you want to claim looking at the whole picture, look at the whole picture. That doesn't fit the narrative you want portray though, does it?

If you can from a legacy airline it most certainly was from being a management intern there to your current job as a FedEx management lackey

Night hub turns aren’t for everyone. Some like them and some don’t. How would you like 4/5 leg 10 hour duty day domestic pax schedules followed by 11-12 hour layovers month after month? Are those better in your mind? Maybe they are but not in my book.

Reserve improvements and SUB improvements were in the openers correct?

Lockdowns SUCKED. Covid and its restrictions appear to be fading. Other cargo carriers had the same. Many pax pilots took line value cuts to keep jobs during that time. Im not sure which I would prefer but I am guessing the furlough bell constantly ringing wasn’t fun for many during that period.

Regarding pay rates, are you aware our rates on certain aircraft still far exceed UA and DAL (until new TA implemented)? Look at the 76-300 and Airbus 300 equivalent pay at UA and DAL. Those two airlines also have negotiated another pay increase since our 15 contract.
