So now the NC is activated? The company is all of a sudden acting in bad faith? This is ridiculous. It was the Union's plan to only open limited sections of the contract and to offer the rehashed PSPP up. They put out a survey that asked leading questions repeatedly to make it appear that is what the pilot group desired. Then when negotiations happened in earnest they went into this thinking they had a willing partner and were determined to get a quick deal. So they gave a little on the sections that weren't retirement and pay. Thinking let's just get a quick deal. Then when the major sections hit the company started dragging their feet after winning "efficiency improvements" aka concessions in the lessor sections. This is the same tactic they always use the only people surprised are the NC, its chairperson, and the pilots in this work group who believe that FDX management will negotiate in good faith despite watching them do this over and over again.
so now here we are. We've shown a willingness to negotiate for less and a desire to proceed quickly. What would you do as the company? Delay some more and let the panic set in? Then offer some menial additions and see if we bite for fear of this lasting another 24 months? Magically a TA will materialize and they will say this is the best deal we could achieve in this time frame and it will pass by a razor thin margin. These are previews of coming attractions unless some of you stop with this let me read the TA and find some wiggle room nonsense. Somethings aren't even worth considering. "Heads I win Tails you lose" and your response is let me read through it?

No. and why would they? they’ve been handing us our asses since the day Fred won payroll at the blackjack tables.
why would they, when our union leaders consistently demonstrate what good boys they are so as to maybe get a seat at the grown-up table.
why would they when after TA’s are signed, they’re on the party plane back to DC, toasting to our stupidity.
why would they when our union waits for the company’s interpretation of the new contract language.
why would they when their brain trust is few, and elite, with the very best contract lawyers that money can buy, wheres we pilots negotiate with grads from Devry University. something about shooting a cat III makes us feel far more intelligent than we are as a collective.
why would they when the actions of their peers wouldn’t significantly impact their quality of life.
why would they when year after year their work rules don’t get worse, their pay doesn’t lag with inflation, and their parachutes are golden?
but here you are, telling everyone to shut up and drink the purple cool aid.
why aren’t we more united? because we can’t see what doesn’t impact us, and so we concede, we allow “wiggle room”, but it’s never a wiggle, is it? its always much bigger than a mere f’ing wiggle. whats bigger than a wiggle? a waggle?
why would they when they weren’t operating in the insanity of the past three years? when they aren’t habitually fatigued. on their fourth night of night hub turns.
why would they when they don’t have to tolerate the idiots among them, simply take out the trash.
in other words, shut up! hypocrite, judging others for doing exactly what you just did: complain! here’s a news flash: complaining is necessary, lest we all passively endure the degradation of a very challenging career.

You have an insurmountable amount of pathetic, selfishness, oozing from every word. If you’re so dissatisfied, why haven’t you gone to greener pastures?

Dear NC: please don't send out a POS TA and then sell it to us. Please, not again.

After reading your this post, I recall a quote that says you should keep your mouth closed, lest you risk and remove any doubt as to how moronic you are.
You have an insurmountable amount of pathetic, selfishness, oozing from every word. If you’re so dissatisfied, why haven’t you gone to greener pastures?

you desire stoicism in the face of corporate greed. no thanks. they will take and take and take until you have nothing but the charity of those who stole your livelihood.
this notion that those who complain should move on to greener pastures is moronic, especially in commercial aviation, where seniority is everything. it’s much easier to move on from an opinion you dislike than it is to change jobs.
as I’ve said before: I’ve created other sources of income. i don’t need this gig, but the ins is nice and the retirement still has promise. that being said, our work rules suck, and get worse with every contract. but we shouldn’t talk about that, should we?
pathetic. selfish. you are projecting the essence of your soul onto the written word. perhaps you identify too closely with these acts and emotions. try empowerment, and self worth, and see if what I previously wrote doesn’t read differently.

Apparently we have had some leave according to a new hire I worked with last week.
Why would you stay here knowing the company isn’t going to compensate you for the type of flying we do when you can currently go to Delta and in less than a year be a 767300ER Captain with one of the best QOL reserve systems that’s not going to slowly kill you?
Go on, scream on the top of your lungs as you have been programmed, “but but they have PBS!!!!”
