Well let's talk about last night's update. Our NC asked us to stand by and wait for further clarification.
While our NC has shown their frustration in the past, last nights update is a new level of concern and frustration. I look forward to the next update after they learn what they learn. I can only speculate, but I think they are finally in a position and state of readiness to go to the next level if given the chance.
I for one think our position has been too reasonable and with the pattern bargaining all ready done, our ask can only go up, way up, and still be looked at as reasonable.
I plan to enjoy the games this weekend and I look forward to the next email. Hopefully we will be gaining support for our next level of engagement.

Apparently we have had some leave according to a new hire I worked with last week.
Why would you stay here knowing the company isn’t going to compensate you for the type of flying we do when you can currently go to Delta and in less than a year be a 767300ER Captain with one of the best QOL reserve systems that’s not going to slowly kill you?
Go on, scream on the top of your lungs as you have been programmed, “but but they have PBS!!!!”

Are you aware that the Delta 767-300 pay scale is the same as their 757 pay scales? The upgrade to that equipment is basically their high end narrow body pay scale.
I just wanted to highlight this because it seems many folks assume new hires there are immediately upgrading into WB aircraft and while the 767-300 is a wide-body airplane it is not treated as such in Delta’s pay rates. Only the 767-400 is which is considered a different fleet at Delta.
I realize that the new TA rates are way higher than our WB rates currently but they are not delta’s true WB rates.
The most Junior pilot awarded a true widebody, pay scale wise at Delta ( 330,767-400,350) is a 1999 hire. This is second hand knowledge so please correct me if I am wrong but some food for thought.

I understand that, and that’s great but you are comparing rates of a TA to our expired contract rates. I would hope our WB scale exceeds theirs and our narrow body exceed their 757/767-300 scale. Anything other than that would be a resounding no for most here I would imagine. Maybe not who knows.
Im just pointing out that many are under the assumption that new hire Delta pilots are upgrading straight to WB aircraft and that’s not necessarily the full picture when you look at the pay rates associated with each aircraft there.

Career progression at the majors versus an upcoming excess bid at FedEx. That’s the important issue. Not the current discussion about a few pennies difference in pay rates.

If people that are really junior wanna leave to chase an upgrade that may or may not exist by the time they get on property go for it. Seems like a roll of the dice to me if you have been here for more than a few years.
Wasn’t that the argument to come to FedEx back in 2020?

Everyone needs to just relax and enjoy their lives. This too shall pass.
