New hires in 777s. That blows me away.
Not the first time this has occurred. |
$150,000 second year pay, not bad. It took me many years to match that. What's the typical pay progression at the pax carriers?

Unfortunately every 777 newbie lost their seat last time during excess bids. Ditto the "Purple Nuggets" that were supposedly groomed and selected for international heavy time. I think this time they may be lucky, but we all know how dangerous the phrase ..."..this times its different..." can be.

Does anybody know the qualifications of some of the new hires?

The standing bid shows they have new hires (not named) in classes in September, for the A300, MD11, 757, 767, and 777. New hires in 777s. That blows me away.

According to the training letter, the first new hire starts 777 ITU on 12 AUG with a projected activation around 10 Oct. (New Employee #'s are 7 digits long starting with a "5")

Does anyone have a feel as to if attending a job fair like OBAP or WIA seems to help at all to get an interview at FedEx?
Hoppy's Jeep |
Latest class had pilots from Southwest, Alaska, UPS, and Jet Blue.

Hoppy's Jeep Just my opinion: Try to avoid going on day one of the fair, if able. I've noticed it to be quite more crowded that day, with longer lines. Day two and three had far fewer people. Good luck! Mr. White |
