If you need to build jet time and get a free type for low pay, this is the position for you! Also you will get good at calculating 10(Flight hours) in 24. Expect to fly 600 hours/year.
600 is quite the bump compared to the 230-300 that I’m used to lol.

Regarding the Challenger stuff going to new hires, I’d bet this is the only way for Flexjet to appeal to applicants and they know this. If all new hires went up through the light jets such as the phenom, many would apply elsewhere. Certainly not fair with respect to seniority. In today’s industry though, they’d definitely be even more hard pressed for new guys.

Yep. It's just a bait n switch. That's the only way they can get people to show up for class.

Anywhere but there. Upgrade time is like 10 years. They are telling new hires exactly what they want to here. "You can get red label" "upgrade time 2-3 years". 10-11 year guys can't even get red label it's a total lie. The capt's in the Lear fleet can never get out of it and they have been there for 10+ years, unless the fleet goes away and then they are likely to get the Phenis. Management refuses to work with the union but I have news for them, they are going to be in a really bad spot very shortly due to the lack of pilots and the fact the word is out that it is a total circus.

I heard that in one class they were led to believe that they would be going to the Legacy 450 but some were given training slots in the Lear. Those guys didn’t bother to return after lunch.

There were new hires that got into the Challengers but now with the arbitrated CBA all the aircraft are open to all of the former Flight Options pilots and everyone is jumping from the Phenoms to the Challengers and Legacy 450. This is leaving a big hole in the Phenoms which needs to be filled.

When you are short over 50 pilots and have aircraft sitting days uncrewed they will have to start filling those positions.

When you consider that a new Phenom FO at Executive Air Shares will make more then one at Flexjet plus have a 2 year upgrade to Captain rather then a 10 year upgrade. It is east to see why people who are looking long term are avoiding Flexjet

They have pulled the bait and switch more than once. There has been more than one class where pilots don't return after the break once they find out what seat they get.

According to the the latest seniority list, the most recent new hires went to the phenom.

The Phenom 300 fleet is so short, they just opened a bid for 4 PIC's. The last seniority list has 96 Captains and 33 First Officers. Is the company so desperate that they need to offer PIC pay to an FO that really would have no chance of an upgrade for several more years? BTW we have 17 year FO's that never had the opportunity to upgrade. Good pilots that previously have been blocked by management's games. New hires are walking out when they find out they have been assigned to the right seat of the Phenom. Too many hours for too little pay.

I just saw an ad saying that they are hiring directly into Red Label whatever that is. Said that you could get hired on the ultra-long range aircraft and be one of the highest paid fractional pilots in the industry.

That doesn't seem to stack up with what ya'll are saying, so whats the deal?

Can you post a screenshot of the ad? The one I saw said “have the OPPORTUNITY to fly on Red Label...” and “be AMONGST the highest paid pilots in the industry.”

They definitely can not hire directly into those positions.
