Dude, I get it. Sometimes in life you are faced with a hard decision and neither option is great. You must make the smartest decision with the information you have. For me, I'll take the 50% raise over the unknown.

My self respect comes from a wide variety of things. My hourly pay rate doesn't determine who I am as a person. Im simply making what I believe is the smartest, safest financial decision.

Sorry, Aero, you are wrong.

Uncertainty over status quo? That’s your take?

Good thing the Founding Fathers didn’t take the same afraid to look backwards tactic.

The more the pilots I take to hear from the roadshows, and read on the FAQ, the clearer it is that this is a substantial setback in the QOL we all asked the NC to protect.

They did not.

NO.

So when this TA is voted in, 63-37 is my guess, are you going to stand on what you are worth and refuse to take the pay increase? Are you going to leave immediately because you can’t stomach what just passed?

What is YOUR self respect worth!?
My guess is you will take the cash put it in your pocket and more then enough to your 401k and have a better life.

A suggestion for all the No voters is they can donate anything they make over this current book to a reputable charity so that they can keep their “self-respect” 🙄

Your post makes no sense, and is a silly argument. I am worth more (as defined by an average of my collective peers at other airlines) than what we are currently earning or what this sub-standard TA proposes.

If this TA passes, my QOL will go down, not up. How is that having a better life? It’s not all about the money for me.

Well for a lot of people it is. Either the newish FOs or the end of time CAs and anyone in between. Why are you right but they are wrong for thinking that way? This isn’t so black and white as most No voters make it out to be. Even some Yes voters are trying to explain it but it falls on deaf ears and blind eyes

Maybe a little. Not much though.

The reality is our day to day lives will mostly be the same. The process for being awarded flying will be different, but ther flying is all the same. Same plane, same people, same cities, same airline, same hotels, much bigger paycheck.

If it's all quality of life for you, which is fine, you can bid down to 60 hours for half the year, and still make way more money.

This TA doesnt change that much in the big picture. We will still have all the same sh*tty pairings. The same 445am shows, the same red eyes. The same open time, the same lack of crew meals. By far the biggest change will be your pay check. So fly 60 hours instead of 70 and enjoy your life

Ya know what, that’s honesty. I can understand your thought process even though I don’t agree. We are essentially talking about the Stockholm Syndrome where some have simply run out of energy to resist what they know is a bad deal even though it’s better than before. I simply cannot nor will I ever vote favorably on a position for myself and coworkers that denegrates me to the bottom of the industry despite how much of an improvement it is. The idea is to gain freedom; not climb 3/4 the way out of the hole. I’m a stand and fight type of guy, I ain’t kneeling for no one.

F9 has become a miserable place to work and it’s only going to get worse afterward. Whether this thing passes or fails, dudes are gonna be upset on both sides.

This whole thing sucks. But let’s vote already. Enough bickering back and forth. Let’s see who stands where and move forward.
