Aero it’s not going to take 18 months. Indigo wants this deal done. Otherwise we’d still be at it for 18 more months.

The pilot shortage is a problem. There’s a reason we gave up the LOA on paying new hires 98% of second year pay.
That BTW is never mentioned on this board and is another give away.
We essentially just gave away any leverage we had on using that to attract new hires.

No way bro. Commuting to EWR to fly a worn out 737 for 18 months and then getting furloughed for 5 years has always been my dream.

It won’t be Spirit buying us, rather us buying Spirit. Nice try. 😳

Close, but not quite. Indigo will buy Spirit. The merger everyone speculates won’t happen and the whipsaw will ensue. New airplanes go to the cheapest bidder.

Then we better not demand higher pay than spirit! Let's shoot for Spirit minus 1.

Ok, back that up with facts. Oh wait, you can't. That is your opinion, and you know what they say about opinions....

My opinion is that if this is voted down, 2+ years before we see anything else, if at all.

Spirit scope language does not allow “whipsawing” by a single owner or entity controlling two separate airlines.

Has a smaller carrier ever bought a larger carrier?

Really?
And who will fly all the shiny new A/C when without a contract the new hires dry up again?
