What in the heck is with the FOs who took the upgrade last system bid, displacing Jr CA’s, and now those same guys are downgrading??!! That’s what the 11/24 what if shows.

Come on guys, check your bids, read your memos. Don’t be a dbag, and “accidentally” get upgraded, displacing junior CAs, and then immediately choose to downgrade. Not cool. Grow up.

Contract allows it, seniority.

Upgrading when you choose to and your seniority can hold it is your individual right, regardless of circumstances. Taking the upgrade then an immediate downgrade is a head scratcher though..

Although the prelim doesn't give the type of award, I would highly suspect it is an involuntary downgrade. There were lots of questions that went into crew planning on the last award with guys not really understanding how this whole realignment process works. I suspect we will see a few more "odd" awards.

Most likely they haven't adjusted their bid sheet.

Bid what you want in the order you want it in the involuntarily displacement tab. It’s that simple. The two other tabs are self explanatory.

I was thinking the same thing.

Not to change the subject, but slightly related to people returning and the adjustment bids...

Has anyone heard any talk from the training department about giving pilots who are returning from cola-35 and due for a PC a sim session prior to the PC? When I go in for training in March it will have been just shy of a full year since I’ve flown the bus. Sure would be nice to get a warmup lap before going to the judgement round.

I saw something similar mentioned in the Spirit thread, so I figured I’d toss it out over here too.
