How long for a contract?

I haven't either, HOWEVER, you should definitely get a second opinion if you have questions when talking to MCC. Have had a couple of odd conversations that required a follow up lately. Maybe something was lost in translation during the call but take your time and maybe call back for another MCC rep when you have something that doesn't sound right.

started the day with an airplane where the blower was MEL’d for avionics ventilation. Later that day we had a pack (2) controller fault. The mechanic wanted to MEL the pack. The captain and I read over the MEL and it required avionics ventilation to be working normally and the blower MEL required both packs be working normally. We called MCC and they said avionics ventilation was working “good enough” and to continue. If we had problems with what he was saying to call the chief. So we did. The chief said “Don’t you dare fly that way.” We had to overnight and that plane sat in SLC for a couple weeks.
EXACTLY!

As a crew we are twisting in the wind with little to no support. More so than legacy carriers we really have to know our ****** or our certificates are at risk and the safety of our passengers. This is why we need a pretty darn good contract. If this is how a ULCC needs to operate, fine, but you need to pay us.

yeah I was hoping with Brian Faulkison there would be some change. At least in attitude ,but it sounds like nothing. Don't worry Soon we will have Strike Lanyards, sadly that may just be the most effective thing the union has done in a while.
