you know what a tough ask for me is?

Convincing me to buy a company $2B in debt, shrinking itself into ‘profitability,’ while parking airplanes that need engine tear‑downs.

Then telling me my CEO is one of the highest‑paid in the industry because we must ‘retain his talents’—talents like running the place into the ground, getting fired, and still hanging around as an ‘advisor.

you gotta spend money to make money. Retain your talent and all that bs.

Side note: TC cashed a healthy bonus in the middle of not one, but two bankruptcies. Meanwhile, his boys were on the street and his airline was failing. Just sayin.

I never want to see anyone who picked up premium for less than double the INC hours *****ing about our contract. Even some union guys were doing it.

5hr turn for 5 or 6hrs premium.... meanwhile when they were desperate, it was 20-24hrs for a 5hr turn and then the flight cancelled if no one took it.

Same 10 or 15 people flying around the system to help out the company for min credit premium trips when they could be making that same money with no effort and a 75hr awarded schedule.

there is no shortage of premium whor*s here at F9. Legacy’s cannot call these guys soon enough.

Weak Unions lead to weak pilot groups. This is a direct result of having very weak union leadership.

It’s like weeds. Pull one two more show up. They have no delusion about staying so no care either and why should they? We that intend to stay need to modify strategy accordingly. That strategy plan needs to come from the top.

The uncomfortable truth? To achieve this, ALPA would have to strip rights from dues‑paying members. And ALPA isn’t in the business of creating a caste system of haves and have‑nots

FFT ALPA has certainly made some mistakes. 1st year pay being the obvious one. But, ALPA disenfranchising members is unrealistic.

If you were the boss, how would you react? NK puffed their chest and took 2 contracts with big asks. Now they sit looking for a dance partner or a CJO elsewhere. Essentially priced themselves out of a job. Of course, there are always other factors in the failure of an airline but if F9 buys NK, it will be worse.

I agree, but in all reality why would we accept less for doing the same job as everyone else? I’d pose the question of how would you feel if the company decided after we accepted less to pivot to a different model? Last I checked we are held to the same regs so in all reality we do the same job and arguably with less resources….

just food for thought. I am not in disagreement with you about NK and how that’s all gone down but that was also a lot of mismanagement and failure to accept the changing industry. Pretty much what we are dealing with now and trying to navigate our way through. Spirit also has the engine issues. So it was a bit of sh!t luck too.

I am not sure why guys are pushing this agenda of F9/NK merger to save the day. We can’t figure out our own issues adding a failing airline to the mix of what we already have isn’t going to be the magical answer. But hey what do I know I’m just a pilot who flys from point A to point B.

If the NK pilots worked for FREE they would still be in the same situation……. we fly they manage (or not)

NK/F9 would probably sink BOTH airlines.
