Sounds good. Do you bid for hard lines or PBS?

Most commutable trips contain red eyes. If you live on the west coast, the red eyes aren't that bad. Personally, I live on west coast time, so staying up late is way less painful than 4-5am east coast wake ups. The commuter policy requires that you get to domicile TWO hours prior to departure time (if you commute by air). I.e., if your departure is 19:00 you have to give yourself two flights that will allow you to arrive by 17:00. If you comply with the commuter policy, you won't "get in trouble" but will lose pay for whatever flying you missed.

I've always had PBS, so I've never bid with hard lines. I'm curious what makes them better than PBS. Do you still have the ability to stack up your days off all at once if you like or choose late departures, favorite overnights, etc.? Just trying to learn more about the system. Thanks.

Seriously? That can't be accurate. Doesn't make sense. The neo program has been in the works for years, right? How could have we NOT been ready for the delivery?? Is the POI being a PIA?

The mechanics and the company have been in contract negotiations for years and the mechanics are getting fed up and leaving. They have had a bunch of good guys leave in the last year, and they are short handed. They simply didn't have the time or spend the time to get what they called the 'cards' ready. The 'cards' are basically checklists of what routine inspections are required for the aircraft, and obviously they have to be approved. From what I was told, they haven't even gotten them put together yet, let alone get them approved.
We should still be the launch customer for the 319 NEO and the North American CFM powered NEO, but they aren't coming yet!
