You guys are as bad of a beotching bunch as Spirit. Well, I'm here to offer you a way out of these horrid conditions in which you work.
Envoy is hiring. We offer a 2.5 year upgrade and a flow to AA that is under 6 years. So, you can leave the crappiest of all LCC's and be at the largest major airline in the world in less than 6 years. Plus, you'll get a raise your first year at Envoy making more than 60k. We are hiring 70+ per month so any delays are going to cost you in seniority. Come on over. The water's fine.

Have fun flying light twins the rest of your career when the economy tanks again.

Does anyone have a way I could get in touch recruiting to follow up on applications? I know many of you here are unhappy, so please do not tell me "not to come here" I guarantee you it is better than where I am now.
Any and all help is appreciated

I understand that if you are in Denver that a trip to the General Offices on Tower Road is a good form of pursuit. I don't personally know of a public email direct to recruiting.

I would imagine labor doesn't have much leverage for positive gains during an economic down turn, no? Perhaps it might be you flying "light twins" at rock bottom wages if the economy does tank. Careful what ill will you wish on others is my point.

Good point on your insult to that guy about a tanking economy. If you guys can't get a respectable and well deserved contract during strong economic times, what's the outlook going to be when the economy does tank if you haven't signed a new CBA?

I don't wish ill will on anyone. If someone's going on another airlines thread, advertising, and talking **** about that carrier that person gets everything they deserve. Especially while the pilot group is working hard for a new CBA.
Spirit raised the bar for the industry attaining an excellent contract during one of our countries greatest recessions.
That's a great instance that dispells your leverage logic.
Frontier's 180 or 230 pax aircraft aren't light twins either, compared to crj's or emb's at Envoy.
So yeah as soon as the economy tanks again American will be one of the first to furlough, out goes the flow through. Hence the light twin comment.
Here's a good read just for you and the **** stain above from Envoy.

Interesting article. It sounds to me like airlines of all stripes can be wildly profitable, pay their labor handsomely, and offer low fares as long as oil stays close to current prices. Do we know for certain that oil WILL go up significantly? How do we know this? Why would it do this? What created these low oil prices in the first place?

This is why I hate the modern stock market and management for the quarter.
Last couple sentences from the article:
"The airlines are still making a lot of money, and no crisis is at hand. But investors prize earnings that are growing, and the downward drift for airlines is only getting steeper."
Earnings is decreasing but they are still wildly profitable despite the new labor contracts. God forbid we take care of our employees the people that support the economy. I hate Wall Street

Excellent point about Spirit's big gain in a slumping economy. Who else has done the same thing in recent times? Honest question as I really can't recall any others.
I know I'm sounding like captain obvious here but during the past 5 years United, Delta, American, SWA, FDX, UPS and Allegiant have made massive gains. You guys have been spinning your wheels during all of these gains due to a management team that clearly knows how to stall out as long as possible. It's frustrating as all can be when there is not much you can do besides show up and do your job like a professional.
If you'd like to bank on Spirit's success during tough times as an insurance policy in the event your negotiations drag into a slumped economy (hopefully not the case) then all I can say is best of luck and I'll stand with you guys at any picket until you get what you deserve.
My comment about your Airbus being light twins was a joke by the way. I recall many of times when I was at Republic the term "light twin" thrown at us from Frontier guys over the radio. Never really got the aircraft ego thing then nor do I get it now flying larger equipment. Just pay me as much as possible to work the least possible seems more important than passenger capacity or gross weight.
