Regardless of whether its enforceable or not, it's an embarrassing red flag... regionals say, come here and we'll pay to keep you here... we say, come here and you have to pay to leave... I actually got excited when I heard a dozen people left in January... good for them... they could change nothing in the contract and double our pay and still print money... I don't even think it's about the money... it's about the power and ability to say f you

Regionals say, "come here and we'll pay to keep you".
15 years ago they were saying line up so we can **** down your throats for 12k a year.

Don't like it today? Don't worry it will change.

There's a number of guys at Frontier that came when their legacy laid them off the last time, and they've stayed.

Frontiers not the first to have a training contract.

Welcome to the industry.

I understand frontier isn't the first to have a training contract... I'm just saying that no one else I know of in the US has one right now and that's because hiring is prosperous everywhere... there isn't an interview anywhere else where they say, "what if xyz airline calls."... they know it's a damaged product and they had to come up with a ridiculous fail safe to recoup their losses... I've seen management here step over a dollar to pick up a nickel... and numerous times... I will admit they have done a better job pre cancelling flights and getting people hotels and notifications since that epic meltdown, but that's also something that never should have occurred in the first place...

And I generally have a really good attitude and I enjoy working here, but the greed and mismanagement is absolutely maddening sometimes...
I understand that this will change and we'll get our TA and put this behind us, but that only happens when A) enough people get hired somewhere else and they can't staff the flying or B) the mediator gets fed up w the company and releases us...
I know people used to love this place like it was one of their kids and I want to see that pride return to everyone who works here

Maybe that was just my class, but just saying.
Oh so you didn't have to sign it then? And what would they have done if you chose not to sign it?
