The mesa MEC is suing the company because they circumvented the CBA to give out those hiring bonuses... if you don't give it to everyone, people are gonna get ****ed... and those bonuses are gonna go away... I know it's up at endeavor in November, maybe sooner

And second year rj pay as a captain is less than second year fo pay here at most places... our contract is laden with loopholes and terrible language, but there's also some decent stuff... if I get the right line next month, I could turn 7 days of vacation into 40 days off in a row... and guys with 4 weeks of vacation here can basically take 4 months of the year off... our pay sucks, but getting paid to do nothing for 1/3 of the year is alright in my book

Why would anyone go to Frontier or Spirit to work in this current environment? The regional airlines pay more, offer quick upgrades and offer flow through/interviews. You will make more money at a regional and are more likely to get to a major airline that actually pays its pilot's a fair wage. It is hard to believe I am actually saying this, but your future is better by going to a regional airline and staying away from Frontier and Spirit until they step up with a contract worthy of your skills as a pilot.
Keep trolling!

40 days off with 7 days of vacation huh? I'd like to see you accomplish that. And if (and when) you do, please share the verification here.
Maybe spread facts instead of this crap to people who are looking at coming to Frontier or not. Those with 4 weeks can definitely get a lot of days off, but the entire month with a vacation period is almost impossible.
Also, you forget we are in CBA negotiations? Go ahead and publish how you think you'll get 1/3 of the year off. The more you talk about the good things, the more the trolls send it to the company and it puts a target on it. Why don't you just send that to Indigo.
Use whatever brain cell you have.

But yes I agree, the guys with 4 weeks of vacation have great qol. I would think 17-23 days off four times a year is more realistic. But still great qol.

The value of vacation has been enhanced in recent years by the way the Company builds pairings. We're flying point-to-point more often and it is common to leave your domicile on day 1 and not return until day 4. Combine this with the fact that the pairings are less productive and we're left with schedules that are commonly no better than 4 on followed by 3 off.
With a 7 day vacation period, it's pretty easy to touch 2 4 day trips and wind up with 17 days off in a row. The ironic part of this whole deal is that the Company has effectively given us what other carriers call "trip touching" for vacation--which we don't have in our contract, but really should.
I've never understood why people lie about things in an attempt to bolster their argument. In the end, it damages your credibility and does the exact opposite.
Carry on.
