I highly doubt SkyWest has much interest in purchasing a unionized pilot group if they planned to merge the airlines and even if they didn't, as previously stated, the ExpressJet deal was far from a success for them

5 extra is plenty, if you’re close they supposedly give more.

it certainly is. Awesome if they are giving that many with that deep of a pipeline.

Yes to both.. I would assume as long as you meet the minimums you will get an interview.

Nobody who knows airline history expects that Skywest would by Gojet. Skywest is going to take and fly the 550s at the request of United. Skywest will offer most of the Gojet pilots jobs with longevity so that after 3 or 4 months when they upgrade to Skywest captains they will have their GJ longevity CA pay. They will make 30+% more at Skywest with their payscales and their efficient trips compared to GoJet's inefficient trips.

I can believe a scenario where GoJet closes up shop and the airplanes are given to SkyWest to operate aka what we saw with Compass/Delta.

When Compass went under OO offered the pilots "preferential" interviews from memory, a number were denied job offers so it was absolutely no guarantee of anything. The smarter ones jumped ship from Compass early when the writing was on the wall to get a seniority number at OO.

Lol, you think people moving to OO from gojet will get an upgrade in 3-4 months?
You’ll have to get in line with the rest of the pilot group who is waiting.
Also, don’t be so sure that Skywest will take “most gojet pilots” as there are still standards to meet and the training list is already 6months+ deep.
You better be prepared to wait for a while.
It almost undoubtedly will not be as smooth as you’d like.

I know you troll a lot but there seems to be a rash of new apc’ers that take everything literally here now.
