Any word on the upgrade schedule? I know 20 new hires a month indefinitely, but I haven't heard word on upgrades

When was the last new hire class? How many in the August class?

USMCFLYR 08-07-2013 07:24 PM

Mod Note:

OK - we've all had the same old fun that always creeps up in these threads time and time again. This time I'll put out a warning that the insults against particular pilots, AND pilot groups in general, need to stop. Check the TOS and if you can't abide by it then you can find other avenues to vent.
Let's start the new day fresh!

Negotiations have been ongoing since early 2013.

RgrMurdock 08-08-2013 02:05 PM

Good luck. Try to get some good improvements in there.

Dejavu 08-13-2013 10:26 AM

pengu 08-13-2013 10:32 AM

DENIED!!! :(

The company says in the same sentence that we are overstaffed yet short reserves. It can be one but not the other in my book.

Not short reserves. Not short reserves at all.......

Gators 08-13-2013 12:04 PM

I heard that they were looking for 70-80 by the end of the year. Attrition, rest rules, future growth?

JetRage 08-13-2013 06:14 PM

We were told in recurrent that new hires were for "attrition and the new rest rules." That's worth almost nothing around here.

30 reserve lines in ord out of 100 FO's And adding more pilots ? That's like 30% . Sounds fat to me . I thought 15% was normal and 10% pushing it for reserves

LBCliving30 08-23-2013 09:32 PM

Can someone shed some light on base preference as a new hire. Im currently in So Cal and willing to move wherever. I know the reserve schedule is gonna suck, but willing to do what it takes to make it livable.

If you live in So Cal and want to make commute life easier, apply at SkyWest. We have bases littering the west coast.

Right now ord or rdu

Pasargad 08-25-2013 09:59 PM

I'm from SoCal too.

Some people tend to forget not too long ago people were saying negative things about SkyWest and look where we at today.

Apparently its the only place to fly if your from the west coast, who do you fly for?

Dejavu 08-26-2013 01:43 PM

West, East . what ever ,get time get out . With majors picking up guys now What's it matter . I don't know why people get a kick saying my place is better than yours ! Who cares ! It's a freaking regional ! Get over it .

LBCliving30 08-26-2013 03:21 PM

GoJet commuters

Any GoJet pilots commute from Detroit Metro to any of the bases, just trying to find out what would be the most advantageous base, also what's the situation regarding crash pads at any of the three bases? Thanks guys

Pilotguy143 08-27-2013 09:23 AM

Not sure on the commute. Everything has Crashpads except RDU

Plenty of flights to ord . Plus tons of crashpads . Transportation CTA go chill downtown on reserve lol

Rdu is an awesome base if u live there .plus they just started doing the united side of flying . Crashpads not so much ground transportation none .

Stl crashpads are plenty . But stl is like a ghost town after 6pm so getting home gets tough at times for commuters .
