Can someone Pls describe reserve schedules at G7..?

I've heard it is 5 on 2 off & sometimes, it is 6 on with 2 off....

Is it true???

RSV is "scheduled" mostly 5 on two off and 6 on two off. The dirty little secret is that the scheduling department can actually move your days off with no advanced notice. To them, it isn't "Junior Manning"... so there is no premium pay for working your days off (this applies to reserves only).

It's a terrible policy, but it's due to the extremely poor contract. They don't do it all the time, but it does happen.

Which base is better ORD or RDU, for getting off RSV quicker & holding a line ???

If on rsv plant GDO days after ur group of rsv days to block that from happening u get 3 a month if ur on rsv

Dude that schedule sux! How are there still pilots willing to show up for the regionals? It's just mind boggling.

Keep in mind, that's a junior reserve schedule. They do improve, although 117 has cost a lot of guys days off and general efficiency.

That said, even a junior reserve schedule like that is far better than some 135 outfits (can you say 13 days off a quarter?) or a freight feeder gig.

If u have 6 days on you don't want to waste a GDO after day 6 cause they can't go into the 7th so it's a given


Other than that it does seem like a lot of movement . I'm currently flying 100hrs and getting paid about 120hrs in credit , getting my time in I can't complain .

Two weeks in Indoc at HQ.
Three weeks at Flight Safety.
Then Sim whenever they schedule it. Some of our class starts just a couple days after Flight Safety, some are waiting a week and a half.

For me from the first day to the checkride is just over two months. IOE is after that, however they schedule it.

Those 700's didn't come from ASA. They came from Comair after Delta f%^Łed them over.

Someone feel free to correct me.... but since Delta owns the aircraft, they are responsible for the maintenance costs. Thus, GoJet/TSH wouldn't have to foot the cost for a C check.

That's what I thought too. Plus, I can't believe daddy D would let 700's sit around not flying/generating revenue just because of the cost of a C check
