Your ASE argument is funny. Grasp at more crumbs dude.

It's fact, not an argument. Like I said, prefer they stay at Eagle.

Of course we all want them to stay at Eagle. That goes without saying.

While you may be factually correct about who is currently certified to fly into ASE, you are profoundly naïve if you think that someone else can't get that same certification. I guarantee that the certification of ASE isn't even on the top 100 list of management when it comes to who and where those aircraft will go.;)

From a pilot's perspective ASE is a big deal. From Mgmt's perspective of feed and revenue etc, it's really, really small potatoes... or crumbs... however you want to look at it

Pilotguy143 06-19-2014 10:05 AM

Guys-

No one wants to gain flying at someone else's expense. However, this is life in the big city. Let's just all try and move up to mainline where this won't happen and buy each other beers.

Deal?

Vwaste 06-20-2014 09:12 AM

Heard there was over 20 in the June NH class. Any truth to that?

PerpetualFlyer 06-20-2014 10:18 AM

Well, it was inevitable, y'all had a good run, the longest of any gojetzzzz thread, but I gotta get IN on this one...

Pilotguy143 06-20-2014 11:00 AM

Truthfully, I don't think they want to close the thread. It's the only thread on G7 that has lasted more than a few days. It's a good way for folks who want info to get in.

I know we are losing people to majors and we are hiring as many folks as we can get through the door (as is every other regional).

If anyone has any questions, feel free to PM me.

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up the D.O. sent a MSG that we might get a new base. Details on the call tomorrow.

TallFlyer 06-23-2014 06:52 PM

Might be relocating a base... United has stated publicly that they want to reduce the number of regionals they have operating in and out of a hub. We saw Mesa close their ORD base and move to IAD, so perhaps something similar here. They have said they want only SkyWest and Republic at ORD.

Come on ATL!!!! We do like 2 flights a day. Should be a base already. A guy can dream I guess.

I hope if we open a base that we close one. I am not thrilled about diluting what little seniority I have.

I agree. The first is much better. Extra points if you can have it flash in several different different colors.

Waitingformins 06-27-2014 10:56 AM

is DEN expected to become a more senior base?

YES, it looks like it will be very senior, at least initially..

That's what I have heard from many people, plus it will be a very small crew base initially and there are many senior people living in Denver who want it..

John2375 06-27-2014 12:50 PM

STL base

out of training at G7, what base is likely? Any chance to get STL?

RDU ORD out of training. STL is shrinking.

ZBowFlyz 06-27-2014 04:21 PM

STL is shrinking but according to flica summary there were supposed to be 50 lines. There are currently 42 FO's on the STL list. Take that for what it's worth.

STL was a senior base but I believe a lot people left suddenly and as a result, a good chunk of April class was put in STL..

Even the May & June class may be stuck in STL for a couple of months...

You will be in training for almost 3 months, DEN will open in the mean while & a few senior FO's who commute from DEN will go there...

If STL is what you want, you may get it in a few months if not right away...

Yeah, that's totally an easy route map to pull off everyday. Whew!!!!

MSP and SLC for NYC, PHL and DCA? I'd trade you any time. It really is an easier schedule.

ZBowFlyz 07-16-2014 06:44 PM

Word around the campfire was that after one month of $5,000 bonuses they are upping it to $10,000. (from the training department and keeping in the spirit of this forum, completely unverified:D)

The rumor factory from the line says they are going to start paying up to $X/mo of newhire student loans.

Darant 07-16-2014 07:51 PM

Well for me most importantly what are the upgrade times sitting at as of now? I already have 4500 TT but need to see if any of my previous Schduled 135 time will count towards the new 121 Captain minimums. Assuming the time does not count, I would need 1000 TT as sic 121. If I were to get that in say a year and half, how long do you think a person in my situation would take to upgrade?
