My pad is on the way to the trails and he arrived a couple minutes early and I hadn't put my shoes on yet.

The @sshat landlord just happens to walk out of his door; or maybe he was just looking out the window and saw. Regardless, as soon as my friend came in the door the landlord comes over and kicks him out of the house. Mind you, it is about 25 degrees and my friend is wearing running shorts and a sweatshirt (ok, he should've put more on but c'mon). He says it sets a bad precedent allowing any guest in the house and made my friend wait outside in the cold while I put my shoes on. What a tool.

BTW, anybody have a decent pad in NYC? Please PM if so!
"No Guests in the house" ?? Was that in the rental agreement?

I guess now you know why there was a vacancy. Those days will be over soon, with your new house in Crackerville.

No rental agreement. Found the place on crashpads.com, the landlord was more responsive than any of the others. I sent money, he sent key and address, and then there was a 10 minute phone call where he explained house rules. Never said "no guests", just no hanky-panky. There seem to be many on the fly rules he makes or dreams up.

I talked to a similar landlord once when I was looking. He was proud of fact that he kicked a pilot out because brought a guest over to play cards or something. He was really proud that he said he called his chief pilot too to tattle on him! Ok thanks! Click

Ugh I hate crashpads, had one like that here in IAD in 2011. Never again! I would rather sleep in my car.

Today's tool nomination is Michael Phelps.

Michael Phelps receives suspended sentence in drunk driving case

Partly for looking like Clark Kent but mostly for driving drunk 84 mph in a 45 zone and "crossing double lines".
Yep.

That is akin to a COP sitting and watching episodes of the series “COPS”. NOT!! For many reasons.

One thing is for sure Cardio, Phelps certainly belongs in the TOD (Tool of the Decade). Phelps has demonstrated throughout his career that he suffers from chronic rectal-cranial inversion syndrome.

A TOTD was in Guard police mode last night. 121.5 was alive with Seahawks updates in the last few minutes of the game. After every broadcast the tool chimed in, "Guard!" Yeah, we know.

Just returned from the following 4 day trip: Me- FO, line holder. Capt- reserve. Day 1 Captain says he'll be maxed out for the month after this trip and get the rest of the month off. Good for him I tell him. Day 2, reroute. Reroute has us flying 1 leg on day 3 then end of rotation!! Woo hoo, what a great deal, work 3 and get paid for 4! This never happens to me, and I'm pretty excited to head home tomorrow. Captain calls up crew tracking and tells them he needs to be put back onto a 4 day rotation right in front of me. Check schedule 10 minutes later: 4 more legs of flying, add back day 4 to rotation. Thanks.
Probably would have gotten tagged to fly something anyway, but really? Thanks for taking care of troops first.
