Honestly what friggin airline in the US doesn't have gogo installed? Even the RJS have it these days. Why the need for updates when you can just log on the wifi?

Just returned from the following 4 day trip: Me- FO, line holder. Capt- reserve. Day 1 Captain says he'll be maxed out for the month after this trip and get the rest of the month off. Good for him I tell him. Day 2, reroute. Reroute has us flying 1 leg on day 3 then end of rotation!! Woo hoo, what a great deal, work 3 and get paid for 4! This never happens to me, and I'm pretty excited to head home tomorrow. Captain calls up crew tracking and tells them he needs to be put back onto a 4 day rotation right in front of me. Check schedule 10 minutes later: 4 more legs of flying, add back day 4 to rotation. Thanks.
Probably would have gotten tagged to fly something anyway, but really? Thanks for taking care of troops first.

Dont forget somewhere in the middle of that: Sherman is being a panzy or needs to get out of the game if his arm hurts that bad

*shrug* It's not the military, there's no troops to take care of. I think he had more to gain than you had to lose. You were both gone for the same amount of days, the pay was probably about the same, but this way he doesn't have to go back but you didn't get easy days. Sure it stinks for you, but only a little. He better have bought beers at least.

What a TOOL! I bet the flight deck got very quiet for the rest of the trip and there's a new CA on your "no fly list."
You've received a lot of good info here on APC. Here's another tip....Your're right...It's not the military and you need to learn how to be a civilian. Spoonman got screwed and that Captain is a real *** ( I'll save the sensor and just type the *s) There were other ways for the CA to fill up without pimping over his FO. I can't believe you are taking up for him.

You are correct, I've gotten a lot of good info here. Over time I'll see what is the norm but from an outsider perspective I stand by my original statement. As I've learned seniority rules. I bid a YS to pick up a good trip while sitting reserve, I'm the most senior FO on reserve so the trip was probably going to be mine. A line holder saw the trip and dumped a bunch of crappy 1 days in the pot and took the good trip. Now I'll be eating the 0-dark hundred reports and not even getting the reach around of a night out of the crash pad. I didn't look at it as I'd been wronged, it's just the way it is. I don't see how the 2 situations are different. Maybe after a couple years in the industry I will.
