I haven't been doing it that way." It was not to be found. After more thorough investigation, I found and admitted (many timea over) my error.

Now, without getting into further details that may embarrass anyone besides myself, this FO is a 'known quantity' at my airline (and others) with a history of doing things 'his way'. I know some of you have flown with guys like that. It can wear on you after a multi-day trip.

Final thought: I was wrong on the facts. Whats more, as the captain I handled the situation poorly and there is no excuse for that. I understand, admit and hope to learn from those errors. I hope this can be my final post on this subject.
Good job. And better further explanation. The best defense is knowing SOPs backwards and forwards, always.

I did what was right because it was the right thing to do. Period. Don't think for a minute that forum trolls or keyboard warriors have any sway over how I conduct myself. I don't know who you are or what your beef is, but I am through engaging with you fegelein.

FFB was was wrong... Forum participants set him straight.

FFB apologizes ... Keyboard warriors want to judge a FFB's entire character off one mistake and hope it affects his entire career.

Forum participants now defend FFB and criticize said keyboard warriors.

This is one of the most ridiculous posts I have ever read.

There are Delta buds paid to monitor the forum for people who let their guard down? Really? To what end? So they can point anti freedom of speech fingers at an anonymous poster?

You are really connected.
