I swear, reading comprehension here is abysmal.

The tool factor comes not from checking the altimeter setting. I think we can all agree that altimeter setting are important. The toolishness comes from being astounded that it moved .01 from the ATIS and being offended that the announced altimeter setting varied from the setting given on the ATIS.

Sheesh,

Sheesh,
I would agree.

But since ONLY one person in the thread heard the ATC exchange, who's to say they (the one making the stink over .01) WERENT being sarcastic with their statement to approach?

The Panthers are awesome. This is what you get when you have an owner who has the patience to build a franchise and not go for immediate gratification.

I'd bet the Panthers are going to be a power for the next 5 years.

Are those off-color euphemisms really necessary?

You might be right. But if you're right the unknown guy who said "rrreeeallly?", myself and the guy I was flying with completely missed his humor. And he didn't sound sarcastic, he sounded annoyed.

I know forcing the plane behind you to do a go-around is funny to some, but scared passengers in the back isn't good for business.
