Call GoJets and tell them to forget about it. Even if you don't get on with AE, do NOT go to GJS.

^^ What he said. Why are you guys advising him to go ruin his career by associating himself with a scumbag operation like GoJet?? Given the reason they existed to begin with, they are THE worst company in the industry to say you work for. If you EVER want to work at Eagle, or any other airline for that matter, do yourself a favor and don't go anywhere NEAR GoJet.

can anyone actually win in the aviation industry? Seems like nobody is ever happy! You're going to be labeled a scumbag either way. a scumbag for accepting such low wages, a scumbag for working at gojet. Pick your poison which will offer you a flying gig! deal with the politics later

April 12 class. From the lounge:
12 new hires. Mixed with prior 121 and CFIs.
1 OFC
5 OFE
4 DFE
2 DFA
One new hire is prior Eagle EMJ CA on furlough from United.
OFC was most junior, then the ATRs, then OFE.
The top 4 senior all took DFE, including myself.

Second, there are lot's of furloughed pilots with tons of experience flying at GJ that came form American, TWA, United, Midwest, etc. I dare you to go up to anyone of these guys and call them scum, scab or whatever lovely choice words you guys have been throwing around the internet here.

Also, a tip for anyone going in for an interview, or filling out the application online... I have this feeling that previous work experience and/or periods of unemployment may be quite the hinderance... example: I had a bunch of random summer jobs that I took during college to make money during break, and I couldn't remember a lot of of the info from those places because they only lasted about a month, I rarely saw my boss, etc... but I ended up putting them on the application anyway because it specifically stated "COMPLETE 10 year work history." Well then HR called me for W2's the week of my review board to verify that I was actually employed at a few of these places (which I have and got to them promptly)... but one of the W2's from company ABC, actually said I was being paid by company XYZ because I was hired through some temp agency. Whatever, I tried to explain this to the guy on the phone. I really thought nothing of it at the time, but now looking back, that may have hurt me. Friend of mine who also recently interviewed was given a pretty hard time during his HR portion about a few months of unemployment and some similar odd jobs at places that are now out of business.
So bottom line - I'd recommend not putting any jobs on the application that you worked at while in school/college. I know I won't be putting those on future applications. Just use the ones to show a lineage of work with no breaks of unemployment (if possible). Otherwise, have a good reason.
That's my 2 cents. Anyone disagree?
