Anyone know when they will have another window? I have a major resume update since the last one but you can't really update your info. I'm told they don't look at resume updates on your profile.

I would like to know the same. And how do you update your profile? I can't seem to delete my old resumes and insert a new one. I'm thinking that I'll have to register a new email address next time the window opens.

"You accumulate points all along the way (your writing skils on the incident report, sim, your answers in panel/group interview, etc) and with your written test scores receive an overall score for the whole process."

Could someone please shed some light on the interview process?? What did you guys study to help you with the written tests? What was the panel questions like?

Thanks

I think it's fair to say you can't really study for the HAL interview. The personality tests are quite straight forward and you just want to be honest. The mathematical IQ test is just that, an IQ test and you can't study for those. It's timed and you just do your best.

The rest of it is some kind of panel or interpersonal type exercise where you just have to be yourself and be honest. There was no specific pilot technical stuff. The sim is basically an exercise in CRM and basic instrument scan.

My suggestion is go, be yourself and have fun. This is a great company with a great future and you don't have to be fake or kiss up to them, just be honest and let your personally come out.

we had 9, and there are no assignments yet.... we're being told 50/50 717 and 767... but that was rumor, not fact.

gsphuntr 09-21-2012 09:16 PM

From last week I gathered a class in OCT/NOV/DEC all of which must be 9 each - Makes sense. They told us 68 of 95 spots have been filled leaving 27 for the three remaining classes...Anxiously waiting for word one way or the other, deep pickins they have for the final classes for 2012

Got the email also... "At this time your application will remain under further consideration and we may contact you in the future for additional screening." I am assuming that the last of the spots for this year have been filled.

Back to the patiently waiting game.

Got the same one. Good to read we didn't officially get the rejection letter...keep the faith alive.

jhaviator03 09-26-2012 05:31 PM

Swamp and Spoilers....I got the same email with the please reapply in the future. What are the experience levels of guys in class right now? I had a ton of intercontinental flying experience in the C-17, but obviously no call.

atr42flyer 09-26-2012 05:34 PM

Me too :( same as swamp.

So your saying there's a chance!

I know in the past they have hired 2500 hour FO RJ drivers into the right seat of the 330. I really could not tell you what they look for. It's pretty random from what I can tell.

LIOG41 09-26-2012 06:02 PM

I have a higher exec connection and still no joy so no rhyme or reason.

Yeah, they said they hired just over half for this year so there are still 3-4 classes to fill and if you didn't get a "no" you ate still in the running for Phase III.

Hang in there fellas

tikicarver 09-26-2012 06:39 PM

I got my swimming trunks on and in the pool with the others.

huntington 09-26-2012 07:17 PM

ummmmm.......so what do you peeps think it means if you interviewed and didn't receive any email what-so-ever???

So some are getting this sentence as the above and others as "we regret to inform you"? Or am I just grasping at straws?

bgmann 09-26-2012 08:32 PM

I just received the same email today.

surfnski 09-26-2012 08:43 PM

Got the same...the ****tier version. Shocker.

cloudroller 09-27-2012 05:05 AM

Congrads - You might get invited back to Phase I and II.

BYOB 09-27-2012 05:23 AM

When you say the "****tier version", do you mean your letter said something different?

bgmann 09-27-2012 05:58 AM

I guess I should clarify. I got the " At this time your application will remain under further consideration and we may contact you in the future for additional screening. "

At the time I posted, I wasn't aware people were getting two versions. I wonder if it even means much at all!

surfnski 09-27-2012 06:50 AM

Yes. Some letters say currently under review. Others say **** off.

swamp 09-27-2012 06:55 AM

Just to clarify, I have not interviewed with Hawaiian, I have had my stuff in for well over 3 years, met the chief pilot, tried to show strong motivation for wanting to be part of Hawaiian. In the past I too, have also always gotten the " we regret to inform you email" so this is a glimmer of hope in my opinion. Fingers crossed.

BelowMins 09-27-2012 07:44 AM

I've only applied, nothing further, and I got the under further consideration email. So I'm not sure how much it means.

gasnhaul 09-27-2012 07:51 AM

I've had an app on file for awhile and didn't receive either email...hmmm:confused:

cloudroller 09-28-2012 06:53 AM

It means that you might get invited to a Phase I/II interview. If you already did Phase I/II, you might get invited back. HAL's HR likes to interview and reinterview. If your wondering why the guys on the Panal interview seem (sometimes) like they dont want to be there. Its because they are getting tired of recomending people, only to have the HR girl and the Psychologist hire someone else. Over 90 canadites got the letter mentioned above.

I know this because I have friends that work there. And I have interviewed there. After doing the interview, I got a class for United.

ophir 09-29-2012 10:38 AM

Lots of "Thanks, but no thanks" letter went out this week. I got one, as well as few others I know.

gasnhaul 09-29-2012 11:21 AM

As in an actual letter or email?

jhaviator03 09-30-2012 01:12 PM

It's an email...

Laxrox43 09-30-2012 07:06 PM

Hey Guys/Gals,

I recently received the "...At this time your application will remain under further consideration and we may contact you in the future for additional screening..." email from Hawaiian's HR. Have any of you received this email? And if so, have you heard anything since they sent it to you? I have only ever received the "Thanks but no thanks" letters up until this point. Let me know what y'all think.

I got the same email. First correspondence from Hawaiian that gives me hope. Nothing received after this email...yet.

ThrustMonkey 10-01-2012 08:30 AM

I also received the "further consideration" email. Lots of theories on what it means, if anything, as opposed to the buzz off email. I am curious, though, about the folks that were in my Phase I/II interviews that said it was their second or third time doing it....did they receive this same email in the past or did they get the buzz off email? Oh well, back to the golf course. Looks like the Ryder Cup team may need some help in 2 years ;)

CATIII 10-02-2012 08:18 PM

I just got word from the CP's office that it's 40 more this year, and up to 100 next year... with more likely the following year, though not announced officially. IF you want to work here, keep at it, they are hiring a lot and from what I can see so far, this is a truly great place to hang up your hat.
