Where did you hear this? Or is this being confused with the email snafu today?

BYOB 11-14-2012 04:17 PM

Now I'm really confused. They were emailing to say that there are NO interviews in November?

That doesn't make sense. Did you email Sue?

STINKY 11-14-2012 04:17 PM

no kidding

No kidding, I'm still coming back down. Oh well, heres to hoping we see that e-mail again without the gotcha to follow.

BYOB 11-14-2012 04:20 PM

I've got a serious question....

Does the rest of Hawaiians operation operate like the pilot interview department?

That is what I received when I emailed Sue. I am not sure about all interviews (Phase II&III??)...this was regarding the email sent out from their HR today about phase I interviews on Nov 27 & 30. Sue said those were not happening. That it was a mistake...

gsphuntr 11-14-2012 04:47 PM

The weirder thing is there are those of us who already did Phase I/II and EVEN Phase III who got that same email! Bogus.

CATIII 11-14-2012 05:24 PM

Posted in error

tikicarver 11-14-2012 05:25 PM

Got the same email, then the sorry dis-regard email.

So something must be going on at the end of Nov or why send any emails out? Either you send an email to the wrong people or you send the wrong message to people. Why would anyone start typing an email unless there was something happening?

My guess, they sent out the phase l/ll invite for Nov 27, but sent it to the list of people that already interviewed by mistake.

Seems that some talked to sue and it is infant an error.

AFOX1BRAVO 11-14-2012 05:56 PM

Very un-aloha sue.

No confusion. Just a rumor.

bruddahgoose 11-14-2012 06:59 PM

I heard they also send out the same email to a few applicants who got hired this year...very impressive....

ThrustMonkey 11-14-2012 08:49 PM

For those of us who already did Phase I and II and are waiting for Phase III invites, that email and its cooresponding "disregard" email was a kick in the stones. Really frustrating

Rama 11-14-2012 09:46 PM

Sue and the overpaid HR department f'up again. My friend went through emotional ringer also. Don't let it skew your view of the rest of the company. Once you are online its a great place to be.

DjHubberts 11-15-2012 01:12 AM

It was even more of a roller coaster for those of us that have received our 'thanks, but no thanks' emails

BizPilot 11-15-2012 02:18 AM

Perhaps it was a test?

Radials Rule 11-15-2012 02:30 AM

Same emails here. So, if I really do get an invite to an interview, 2 to 3 weeks notice and only one choice of dates, final offer
..... is this how it works?

Given that both sets of dates in these unintentional emails are at the end of the month, does that mean that interviews are normally scheduled for the end of the month?

BYOB 11-15-2012 04:50 AM

2-3 weeks lead time for an interview is very gracious. The first time I was invited I had a 5 day notice, which gave me 4 days to get there since I would have had to arrive a day early.

Consider 2-3 weeks a welcome surprise.

Sorry, did they send those out too? Maybe it was a mistake

LeftWing 11-15-2012 07:03 AM

For many that bid monthly or that have contract jobs, 2 to 3 weeks really isn't much time to get the time off.

I wouldn't go that far as to think they were Testing people:).. But I would say if someone did fly off the handle:eek:...

Bottom line it's a great job, complainers can go to United, AA, or UsAir...:D

No,, had mine on the 11th, was sent the invite on the 6 th.

Have a friend that got called on a Sunday and they asked if he could be there tomorrow, he said it wasn't possible from the east coast. They said, "how about Tues?" , he said yes, showed up and got hired.

You think that is bad, back in the late 90s hiring boom, I got a call from an airline on a Sunday afternoon. they asked if I could be there Monday morning for an interview. I said I'm interested but no way I can get there in time how about the next interview group. She said, "we are only calling for this one." I told her I could probably get there by Tues, she said I would have to talk to the CP. Called back several times on Monday, final got the CP late in the day. He said there was a new hire class starting on Thurs and his management told him to double the class size, that is why the short notice. Then he said, " do you think you could be in class on Thurs?"
I said , sure I can do that. Then he said , "how soon can you get here so I can give you an interview? I told him Wed. He said, "fine be here Wed whenever you can, and bring 3 weeks of clothes."

welcome to the airline industry!!

Hawaiian Airlines Hiring

Does anyone know how to delete one or more of your attachments on your app profile?

BizPilot 11-16-2012 10:53 AM

If you meet their hiring minimums are you almost guaranteed an interview?

With thousands of applicants for every airline that opens a hiring window, and most having far beyond the minimums:rolleyes:...

If you know the RIGHT people you will be.

far from it... I had almost 4 times their minimums and 8 type ratings, 1900+ Jet PIC, including A320 PIC, but was ignored until I had an internel recommendation.

The only people I've come across getting hired at bare minimums are people with huge internal connections. They may also hire certain protected minorities with those minimums, I'm not certain of that however.

Anyone get another e-mail from HAL regarding your application will remain under review?

Congrats! That's the "good" email. Start paddling! :)

SkyBird17 11-17-2012 06:42 AM

The thing is I've already done phase I and II....

SanJuanPlebe 11-17-2012 07:10 AM

Yup- not sure if that means we will get phase III or not

LIOG41 11-17-2012 08:16 AM

Seems that lots of people got that email who recently completed phase 1/2...so who knows!

SkyBird17 11-17-2012 08:26 AM

I hope they would stop toying with my emotions! I'm ready to move to HI already! lol

Rama 11-17-2012 06:31 PM

A new hire recently quit. Got a type rating and decided to take a job closer to home. It won't help the commuters in the job search.

+1

And people wonder why Hawaiian is so picky.
