They're definitely gonna have to create some incentive. A lot of FOs I fly with are holding out for the jet.

Also it takes a significant amount of seniority to hold a line in the Q. It seems like there are an awful lot of pilots on reserve.

I dont know where all the Seattle Q reserves are, but I seem to spend more time deadheading to Seattle to fly.

Call me weird, but I’m not going to mind reserve if that means driving to work. The Q lines suck anyway, so it’s not like life gets easier once you hold a Q400 line, you just know ahead of time the suck that’s about to happen. Interacting with crew scheduling will get old fast I’m sure, but if we stay staffed maybe it will be days at home just ready to go.. One can wish

I am losing faith in humanity faster than I want because I spend more time dealing with traffic on the 205 bridge. That is the worst part of reserve.

I won’t have that issue, Marine drive from the east is glorious! I do pay state income taxes though, so the bad with the good

Then you're in much better shape! Here is what I am find about reserve here, short call seems to provide a better QOL for me. Long call is nice, but the flip flopping of the body clock takes a toll.

I was flip flopping every other trip as a line holding FO in order to get certain days off. I hear ya there.

I'd take the 205 bridge any day rather than literally any part of the greater Seattle area.
