This communique is for entertainment purposes only. It does not implicitly or explicitly acknowledge employment with any air carrier nor is any relationship implied. This communique does not represent the opinions or policies of ALPA or JB ALPA and does not represent the collective pilot group, ALPA, nor does it imply collective bargaining, advocacy, or workforce actions intended to disrupt operations.

This may come as a surprise to you but not everyone at blue jet is a reject. I guarantee you there are many people reading this who are probably significantly more qualified than you are. Maybe you have spent more time in the toilet of an Airbus but what is that say about your career progression? If you want to throw spears of that kind, I guarantee you there are many people here who could dwarf any one of your Point A to B accomplishments. But, i'm not mentioning that to put you down, I'm mentioning that because there are actually people here who want to make this a better place. Perhaps some people are waiting to go somewhere else when the time is right and for the right reasons such as better commuting, proximity to family, or secondary employment limitations. Whatever the reason is, it is not wrong for them to be exerting market forces in order to be paid like the professional pilots that they are.
So why should these type of people leave? Shouldn't someone like you leave? It doesn't seem that you really care to improve the situation. Instead, it seems you rather be surrounded by people of your level of mediocrity.
I look forward to your replies.

I wish I shared your optimism. I've seen Lucy hold the football for me way too often with this pilot group to give trying to kick it another shot.
The problem I have with this is that we've blown our greatest leverage. By the time it gets to the pilots for a vote, even if it DOES get voted down (highly unlikely), we're more than 2/3 of the way through summer and JB gets to skate into September as we try and spin back up our SOP campaign with our union leadership and overall direction in disarray.
We had the greatest amount of leverage we'll ever have with these negotiations in May...summer on the horizon. Another picket a week away. Investors downgrading JB. An ever increasingly galvanized pilot group. And we ****ed it all away.

I would NOT be in favor of replacing the MEC or negotiating committee. More wasted time. They are all good people, they just had a ruthless opponent that was refusing to give us true industry parity.
Well, IF the vote fails the NC can go back in there with a clear mandate. New surveys, hard labor dispute media and picketing, go hard.
Even then, a small pain point for the company around the holidays and then again for spring break. Big leverage is again one YEAR from now.
We have been backed into a very difficult corner by this company, and frankly it is our fault, we LET it happen by calling a labor dispute WAY to late and by most of you individual pilots freely offering up your individual patience and good will for years because of a false belief that this company was going to offer you industry standard or market rate.
Look where we are now. I could spend the rest of my life regurgitating quotes from this group that make us all look like fools.
Now we have the history to prove we have been fools.
As beatnavy said in his great posts, this locks us into last place among our peers and I'm not sure I see a good path out of this mess. We will be suffering this contract for the next 7-8 YEARS, while in 5th/6th out of 6th place.
Maybe the language will have some unicorns and other mythical creatures in it. I'll wait to read it, but I highly doubt it.

For all the folks that are going around finding out how many pilots are NO voters, that won't make a difference. Those same people are going to vote yes even though they told you no. You are going to be very surprised by how much the TA will passed.
Wait until the full language is released, there's going to be even more YES voters coming out of cargo area, landing gear, carry ons, lavs, apu exhaust, fuel cooled oil coolers, fuel tank, between rudder pedals etc....You name it, they're coming out of it. The tone of this forum is going to take a complete 180. Mark my words.
