Company Email says they are committed to expedited negotiations …….for “Reasonable” rates. That should tell you everything you need to know.

what else was he supposed to say? He also mentioned that they plan to keep our pay rates competitive and in line with our peers…my prediction - mgmt will want alaska rates, b6Alpa will ask for alaska +5%. They meet somewhere in the middle. Faster this gets done the better.

Shouldn’t be difficult. It’s just an extension of our contract. This should be done by next Friday but it won’t be.

These guys can develop a plan to buy another air carrier in a few weeks.

"Expedited" only means the same pace as CBA 1.0.

Do not over read with your hope filters set to max!

Every route competitors get to first will be just that much more competition to overcome. If they are going to seriously challenge the big boys they need to step up smartly, not just be a place to build your resume for a jump to the legacies. If you want to play in the big leagues you better compete on everything - including payscale and profit sharing.

Yes. We struggle to get back to where we were pre-COVID, while the legacies keep growing and filling the COVID void.

There was a time when JetBlue was nimble and aggressive enough to take advantage of market opportunities. No longer. For once we are way behind the curve on this one.

And when it comes to a “reasonable offer”… remember that the MEC considers 2% an insult to the pilot group, but 3% is a home-run. So reasonable to the MEC probably means 2.5%. Even if the surveys came back averaging 25%, expect 3% and a sales job.

I don't think so. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm a total pessimist, but if Alaska is offering 160 year 2 then that's the bar at a *minimum.* They're our closest peer, so we'd need at least, what, 25% to match that, let alone be competitive with the big 4.
