but hey I’ll refrain from asking questions and make an uninformed vote then… at least until I get a “few more years” before I can post. Get over yourself pal.

I see it differently.
I do agree that PS is mandatory for a JBCA. As for point 3)….. never assume anything. It leads to some great failures.
I actually agree that profit sharing is a good thing…. But I’m not going to squander a 21.5% raise to fight for something that won’t matter until 2024-2026 at the earliest.
honest question- would you take a lower pay rate to get PS? I mean, maybe you believe in our management team more than I do. But for me, I’d take the cash now.

thanks for the “constructive” response. I said I was keeping an open mind and was looking for besides the profit sharing aspect why people thought this was junk.

I have been and I’ve been using them while looking at the other airlines offers. But his response wasn’t. He easily could have not been snarky and not responded but instead decided too.

I've only been here at B6 for a little over a year. Obviously seeing all the stuff over on the farm. Why are people here so hell bent on saying no without consideration because profit sharing wasn't in this. From my standpoint, again only being here over a year, I feel this is a respectable offer. It's short term until a JCBA which when it comes time to negotiate that I think we should be asking for profit sharing.
I don't see how people can compare what we do to deltas operation, widebody and a more substantial international operation and sheer size and the profit sharing size checks they get. From my eyes that's comparing apples to oranges if pilots here think we would see profit sharing checks that size. Not to mention it doesn't take much for an airline to not turn a profit (recession, war, pandemic). So why would you not consider a 21.5% compensation increase with snap up (granted its averaged) which is guaranteed compensation to hold us over to a JCBA? Then we get another shot for compensation, QOL etc.
I feel 21.5% over 18 months is pretty fair considering we get another bite with spirit when we grow tremendously. I'm keeping an open mind and honestly would love for people who are saying no to tell me reasons. I just feel a lot of people aren't keeping an open mind about this. (and before people start blasting me because its APC B6 is not a stepping stone for me. I came here with the full intention of staying)

Lol, do you not remember that time during CBA1 where everyone said they would hold out for PS next time but they had to secure scope and a baseline CBA this time? Guess what! It’s next tkme! Leverage has never been higher. Average phase 2 person has less than 1600 hours. Applicants are almost nil. Leverage exists now. There will always be a “next time” excuse.

Frontier (and spirit for that matter) are not included in the jetblue peer group. DL/UA/AA/WN/AS are the established and agreed upon peer set with regards to the snap up. So, B6 will be 6 out of 6 in their peer set for compensation at a time where they can’t attract and retain enough pilots. And, by my estimate, 80% of B6 pilots will happily vote to be last in their peer set. They were happy to sell scope for 3%, so I guess it’s not a surprise though.

(it was sarcasm)
If we won’t fight for it now why would we fight for it in the future.
