GIS seems to be doing their job expeditiously. In less than 2 weeks since I was tasked to provide info on their website (starting phase 2), my current employer had returned the requested info and I got the snail mail from the FAA showing what they reported (no surprises-ATP, CFI and Class 1)... So I think all that remains is verifying my college transcripts and DOT back ground check... I'm grateful the process seems to be moving along quickly as I've read over and over how slow Sterling was! Hopefully GIS will be quicker on completing the back ground checks, shortening time in the pool...

I can attest to having had to be constantly checking on Sterling and providing a number of "last minute" affidavits due to their "inabilities". It was a little frustrating to say the least. I believe it had even reached the point where B6 was doing the FAA Pria paperwork themselves, taking that part of the process out of Sterlings hands as most folks had hang ups there. By the sounds of it thus far the new entity seems to be on the ball. Hopefully it's a welcomed transition.

Does anyone know the process they use to contact former 121 employers, do they just ask for PRIA paperwork, or actually call your old chief pilot and ask about sick calls, and other issues that may be in your file? I heard delta does this to see how reliable your attendance was.

I called my employer and asked. He said all it was just the forms we filled out for PRIA and drug and alcohol stuff. Just mail, no calls. He did say other companies have sent other forms with questions and followed up with a phone call but it looks like it's straight forward with JB/GIS... Hope this helps and best of luck!
