Not even close I’ve done my 18 days of reserve for two months now not a call and last month not looking like much there either. And yes I’m on VDA and watching for premium time where I can on my days off. Still nothing. I would love to drop my schedule and be senior enough to get a VDA call but unfortunately I will never be that senior.

600+ additional active pilots for the same amount of daily flights as a year ago (1000-1050) is likely the main driver.

I completely agree with you that an airline shouldn’t be run on the backs of reserves. However that hasn’t been the JetBlue formula for my tenure. Could the change be recent management changes (which bring a different approach towards reserves/staffing) or are we ramping up staffing for deliveries that don’t seem to be coming at the pace that the order books say? Either way my beard is getting long and my 2 day visit to JBU is rapidly approaching 😂😅🥲

okay I’ll take it but it will be my first if I make to JBU for currency. Even during summer of 2020 I didn’t make it down to JBU for getting out of currency. Meanwhile I’ll start researching something to soften my beard my wife keeps complaining it’s too prickly, any advice?? I’m sure starting late May this will change but I’m digging it for now..

I wish I could I’d rather be flying when the kiddos are in school then bid LCR when they are out. Too bad I’m not senior enough for that. Plus I only want to get called on my days off and that won’t happen with the over staffed position we are currently in.
