I love when guys are like "Man, you don't even know man!" Or "You want change man, you gotta get out there and do it yourself man!" Or "You don't want ALPA man, you gotta start your own JBLUPA, man!"
My whole point is solidarity. It's so black and white. When negotiating a CBA you don't accept a handout from management.
BlueDork should look up all the people who didn't vote, and give them a refresher course on how to login to b6alpa.org.

Solidarity? You just insinuated the NC is careless with the dues you pay. I haven't volunteered for that job nor would I want it. I'm not smart enough. But have you? You seem to have it all figured out. And as far as I'm concerned, as hard as those guys work for us they're more than welcome to a steak dinner. Hopefully a nice bottle of wine too. You don't like that bub? Then you do it and you can get McDonald's for dinner.
You prove my point. "Man, you should step up man"
If I'm insulting the NC and ALPA with my dues, perhaps I'll join the "others" who choose not to pay dues.
As soon as ALPA was voted on property I displayed my lanyard and signed up for dues. Everyone said, and I knew, this would be an arduous process. However, they also said we need a CBA and to stop letting the company just make things up and include them into the FOM. Well, the company just made up an 8% raise. I used my vote to reject the carrot. The NC said it was good for us. I'm not sure about that. so, I exercised my paid for voting right to say "NO".
I do like McDonald's and would have no problem ordering a round of #2 Value Meals for myself and the NC. Not Super Sized though, of course.

So you would have rather taken a pay cut instead of a small pay increase for what....out of principle?
What benefit would that bring you individually or to the pilot group in general?

Just to be clear the members of the B6 ALPA incident/accident go team - which also includes those that answer the phone 24/7 after you call ALPA national because you've been involved in some event or the company is pressuring you to do something you find unacceptable or unsafe - voluntarily agreed to attend training on days off instead of seeking the standard reimbursement and trip credit so that the money could be directed at other ALPA activities. We're watching pennies.

I don't keep up with anything JetBlue related to be honest. I've had 2 jumpseaters from Frontier tell me now that they heard JetBlue is looking at them and is going to buy and merge them together. Does anyone see any likelihood of this?

A guy in my squadron swears a SWA merger is a done deal.

There have been numerous sightings of JB executives at F9 HQ over the last few months. Rumor I heard was JB made bid(s) for F9 but they were all rejected. Also, tried to make offers for the F9 Airbus delivery slots since they have tons of NEOs coming much earlier than JB.
