Ya that's what I thought. Just said he was at a regional wanted to work for jetblue and wanted to know a way he could help out b6 ALPA. Never gave any specifics and doesn't have any other post on apc. Really odd

I agree with you, it could be a huge money maker. And who knows if we aren’t starting until May because that’s what we were given, or because they realize it’s a seasonal route and they’re only doing it in the summer. If it’s the later, then the loads this time of the year probably wouldn’t sustain the operation. We need Blue boots on the ground in MSP to run an operation. So, we start Super Bowl runs for the weekend. But normal loads are dead. Are we supposed just run empty airplanes back and fourth until May just so our employees in MSP get a paycheck? Can’t exactly hire and train people for a weekends worth of flights/charters then say to them “thanks, come back in May when we’re ready for the real thing.”

Or it could be just a matter of gate space. Maybe we physically can’t fly there until May.

Or the most likely scenario, the thought never even crossed managements minds...

Tell him thanks for the offer but this event is for jb pilots only. If further picketing is required we may open it up to other airline pilots who offer their help.

Umm, why is it a secret? Dont we want the press to be there? Giving them 30 min notice ensures it just will be us shouting into the wind.

Exactly my larger point. Pat's were just one part of the larger picture. We will also miss the the substantial spring break season out of MSP, not to mention the biggest sporting event of the year.

No, spring breakers going to the Caribbean and Florida. And MANY don't make direct flights. If only I knew of an airline that fancied itself a leisure airline and had one of the largest footprints in the Caribbean and Florida?

And no, I have seen nothing to indicate this airline even HAS a rudder much less someone controlling it!

I have a feeling we are only going to MSP to stick it to Delta, which to them it doesn't matter.

Superbowl, spring breakers or baseball fans trying to go to florida for spring training, etc ain't going to fly JB via BOS, they have plenty of non-stop options on DL, Sun Country, Spirit and Frontier.
