As far as, lanyards go, I support you and everyone else wearing whatever they want, including the ALPA lanyard. I choose to not wear it, and that will not change.

Fellow Pilots,
ALPA National legal counsel has requested that the JBU MEC post this message for those of you on this forum suggesting or advocating that pilots not pick up open time, take other operational steps, or pressure others to do the same: STOP.
Your messages are very ill advised and harm rather than help your negotiating committee. Efforts such as these are counterproductive to secure the fair agreement we all deserve. Your MEC does not support them.
If you are found in violation of the Railway Labor Act by supporting, inciting, or participating in a concerted effort to disrupt JetBlue Airways, you could put your union and fellow pilots’ bargaining strategy in jeopardy. You may potentially be held personally and professionally liable for your actions on this forum. You could also subject yourself to discipline or discharge. Do not think that your online anonymity is guaranteed.
We do not want you to jeopardize our collective interests or your career on the false premise that adding pressure to the company by resorting to illegal activity will result in a favorable outcome.
Lastly, other then this post, the MEC will not be using this forum as a form of communications.
Fraternally,
JBU MEC VC.

We are getting results from the MEC and NC. They're standing firm in the face of an airline management that refuses to accept the worth of the pilot group. They are unwavering in their commitment to bringing this pilot group the contract it earns every day, whether it's a blue sky or dumpster fire IROP.
These are probably not the results you mean, but those are results we can control. Asking for them to control the company's offers is unrealistic.
If following the simple guidance from the MEC is not enough for you, if you believe you have better legal strategies, there are plenty of methods to provide feedback to the MEC besides posting on this forum where you will actually get feedback from union leadership.
If you're a dues paying member in good standing you're also allowed to get involved and volunteer your time to make sure any ideas you have are not only heard but may also be made into part of the strategic plan.
I hope you choose to get involved and become part of the process. The whole pilot group will be stronger due to increased involvement and diversity of opinion and background. Posting on here is all well and good, but with some exceptions we mostly just win internet points. The real difference, like anything in life, is made in the real world with action and not a keyboard.
