Because I’m headed to where we have mx and don’t want to hose the next guy while I self DH outta there. SOC says mx won’t respond. Send the same message to MX expecting the canned response. Nada. No response. As I’m walking away FO comes up jetway says tech is here and needs me to write up HYD because he’s going to service it.

Best “CAPTAIN” phone for image only?
Well now that I’ve upgraded to PIC on Upstate New York’s favorite hometown airline (voted number one in Buffalo for “ Best Mediocre Chicken Wings available nearest to your departure gate”), I’m well on my way to improving my captain image.
I’m already working on gaining an extra 30lbs and have become extremely cheap by using my raise to purchase coffee only when absolutely necessary (coffee pot deferred, no McDonalds nearby, and can’t bum coffee money from first year FO because he’s “broke.” Liar.
Anyway, on a recent trip my FO looked at my phone and inquired, “Is that an iPhone 4?” Nope! That’s a 5. And an S model so WAY more fancy. My question is.... Should a CA upgrade to a 6? Sure, the ladies love a man with a phat phone but I don’t want to send the wrong image that I’m just about the bling. What says...I’ve finally made it, without being too ostentatious when it comes to telecommunications gear?
