But everything is awesome and wonderful here and we make more money than starving children in Africa, so we should just keep our mouths shut and be positive all the time!

The announcement on the 27th was what was already disclosed internally regarding route and station cuts. So POG wasn't just "professing to know."

You are the one trying to drag down others at JB with low expectations and contentment with sub-par conditions. By pointing out the areas that need improvement, myself and others are trying to make JB better. Unfortunately there are many people here who take such criticism personally (bizarre, really) or feel that anyone who wants improvements here should leave (also bizarre).

I'm all about improvements. But complaining on an anonymous public forum is hardly the way to affect change. Facts are good, when they are not overwhelmed by personal sadness and internal dissatisfaction.
Every airline has folks who whine of course, and yet we want to be more like them. And like them, in spite of the same handful of Negative Nancies who try to keep people away, newhires are still coming, thankfully. JB is far from idyllic, but it's pretty good overall. Minus a few items such as a lack of profit sharing, our inability to operate during an IROP, and not seeming to comprehend how to operate flights on time, I find my job satisfaction is still ok. Maybe I'll feel more like you in a few more years, but I doubt it, cuz I'll be sitting on a beach and drinking rum and saying "arghhhh, Matey!"
