I am about to start that organization. Do you think it will look good on a resume to show that I ran a volunteer organization?

As a white guy I most certainly had less opportunities. My grades had to be higher to get into college compared to a minority. I didn't qualify for a lot of assistance that was out there because of my skin color even though I was more disadvantaged than others that did.
It is your racist and misogynistic lens that thinks women and minorities are too incapable of getting the job themselves even though the airlines bend over backward to recruit them so OBAP and WIA are most certainly not needed.
Once again if the roles were reversed and it was WMIA White Men In Aviation getting preferred interviews and scholarships the outrage from the woke would be astronomical.
You have a very closed mind to think that because it is greater than zero that my point is invalid especially because you don't have the stats but then again what does statistics mean when you feel my point is invalid?

But back to the point would they have the exact same chance for one of the Aviate slots? Just the notion of having separate piles of applications based on race for a separate number of slots the answer is no unless the acceptance ratio is exactly the same.

If that was true then why are they needed in the first place?
Can you tell me the ratio of how many white males that these places have opened the doors for and given scholarships too? I bet you can't but once again if you feel it will open the exact same doors then it trumps facts.

This statement is complete BS. I know a middle eastern person that went to an OBAP event and was shunned for not being black.

If you believe that I have a bridge to sell you.

Sell me the bridge then. I have a close friend, (who is white), who dove into OBAP programs because he enjoyed them. He will tell anyone who will listen how much he credits the organization with helping him get his mainline job. You get what you put in to these types of organizations. If it's as simple as "checking a box" then why are there so many black regional captains who show up at OBAP year after year but still aren't at mainline? Do they all have DUIs and multiple checkride failures?
The reason the organizations are needed in the first place is very nuanced and I doubt you care. But the fact is, the United app asks if you are a member of professional partner organzations like OBAP/WIA. It doesn't say "don't select this if you're a white male, though."
Or was he "shunned" because he didn't walk out with a mainline job... Because, you know, all you have to do is show up the and be brown and you'll walk out with a job, right?
Were you there with him to validate his story? This is a pretty big claim you've made, towards an organization that strives for inclusion of ALL races.
If you've ever been to any of these events (doubtful), you'd see that there is no one at the door checking and shunning... But keep telling that story though!

Well, I see it this way...
What happened on January 6, 2021was a result of
The well PRIVILEGED, and ENTITLED, expectation fading away. It has never been about race and gender. It has always about wealth and power. Those who have it, will do everything they can to keep it. ALL OF IT....

If I were a minority I would apply , work my ***** off to get through training and enjoy my million dollar career. I wouldn’t give a flying F what any of you thought about me or how I got there .

Or you know just apply to any of the programs out there. I am not familiar with a single flight school that has light skin color as requirement for entry. You are acting like this program is breaking down barriers when in fact it is moving back 60 years and judging applicants on their skin color and genitalia.
I truly was hoping we would get to a point where people are judged and grouped by their skin color but programs like this just people back into “tribes”. It appears MLK’s wish to judge people on character not skin tone is still not realized.
